From Giants.com
"Based on combined winning percentages from the 2020 season, the Giants have the eighth-easiest strength of schedule next season. The Giants' 2021 opponents went 128-142-2 (.474) in 2020. The Philadelphia Eagles (.430) will head into next season with the "easiest" lineup, while the Pittsburgh Steelers (.574) have the "hardest" schedule in the NFL."

Football teams vary from year to year based on free agents and the draft and from week to week based on injuries so who knows.
Meant to add 5 road games outside division are KC, SD, TB, NO and Miami. The 6th is against Chicago.
The key like always...is how we do in division....
The difference between us and the others in division is usually minor.
2. We have only one game on the west coast
3. We have three home games against teams that may have to deal with some form of jet lag. Denver, Vegas, LA.
They are alternating between conferences. Extra home game for afc this year, nfc next year, and so on. So your scenario will not happen.
This can change fast, but I agree, good to see the Bears near the top. Could easily turn into a top 10 pick for us.

when it comes to scheduling. Half of the teams have a huge advantage (or disadvantage) by playing one extra game at home (or on the road). It appears all teams in a division have same number of home games. But imagine the Giants are in the race to host a playoff game (or, dare we hope) the best record in the conference, and the team they must finish ahead of has an extra home game as compared to the Giants' extra road game. Talk about an unbalanced schedule.

Thanks for clearing that up.

But you also have to consider that it can have an effect on draft positions. An 8-9 team that lost the extra game on the road will obviously pick before a 9-8 team that won the extra game at home. If the sites of the the extra games had been reversed, might the outcome be different? Which makes it advantageous for the Giants that the Bears play the extra game on the road.

Go take a look at whether the Jets were on the schedule for each of our last two Super Bowl victories.

1. We don't play the Jets. (Playing them is unlucky. I'm superstitious.)

To counter that we play KC away which is a loud and tough place to play. the dome in NO, at TB who are Super Bowl Champs and at SD.
Extra large and extra marshmallows!
all afc teams are hosting the extra game this year, nfc next year

The only reason we have this rating is because we have 6 games in our division against teams that had poor records last year. If you look at our games outside the division they are not that easy.

who is this fictional sd team?
