This is his first season playing more than 50 games.
Plus the minutes he is playing is a ton.
He was obviously off last night in a big way.
He is 20 and playing pressure games every night, he will be fine.
No one stepped up last night to fill the 3rd scorer role last night and it cost us.
Bullock and RJ were off and not having Burks or Quickley cost us.
Frank played well but he is not that guy.
Can't win games with only Rose and Randle playing well.

have talked about putting RJ's offensive game together a piece at a time. This year they got him a terrific catch and shoot 3, but he has no dribble and shoot, or mid-range game, which was entirely expected. The coaches talk as if it will take another 2 summers to put together all of the pieces--at the same time as he becomes progressively stronger, and a better ball-handler, starting as a 20-year-old.

I don't see any reason why he cannot get to the point where he is averaging 22-23 points per game, and beating up on a lot of defenders with his strength. This is going to be a very fine player for a whole bunch of years.

And yes, it makes sense that he might be tiring a bit as a 20-year old playing all of those minutes. Averaging 35 minutes for 69 games, why would he NOT hit a bit of a rookie wall, even in his second season at 20? He is carrying a massive load. If the Knicks find another star-level player in this off-season, Barrett will be in a position to take full advantage as the third piece.

in Barrett's second season and Butler's third season. Of course, Butler in his third season was 24, not 20, so the whole thing is pretty amazing.

I think they want to end up in the lottery.
The team has talent but it just doesn't mesh well.
They need to trade some pieces and rebuild

Derozan is such a poor 3pt shooter, I don't think he is what this team needs.

Derozan gives them a guy who can go get his shot when the offense stalls..

He moves the ball averaging over 7 assists a game this year..

He may not shoot the 3 but is deadly in the midrange..

With Randle and Rj improved from 3 and adding lowry it is plenty of shooting..

Derozan could be the slasher for the starters..

He is a good defender..

Hawks are finishing 4 or 5 depending on what we do.

They are facing 3 reeling teams at home. SA on a back to back, Charlotte then a Celtic team that will be sitting people getting ready for the play in. We've had a great year now let's finish this and host game 1 vs the Hawks next week.
