I've been to a lot of bad sporting venues, but that might take the cake. And isn't Tampa splitting their home games in Montreal sometime in the future? I remember reading an article about that, but perhaps that was shelved.
Portland's been wanting to get in on baseball for a while. I don't think weather would be as big an issue as you'd expect - I've only been here 5 years not the summers have been hot and really dry. Apparently it's like one of the front lines of climate change here. I think it's why the wine business in the Willamette Valley is blowing up.
That'd be cool if the A's ended up in Portland. It would give me an excuse to go there again. Portland is one of the underrated gems in the nation. Great spot.
Oakland teams of 70s were awesome
Would’ve won a couple more rings if Finley didn’t sell off everyone

because the Giants would object. It's Oakland or somewhere farther away.
I think if Portland is a contender then I'd think Salt Lake City would be, too. Vegas, of course. I doubt anyplace else in the Mountain West or Southwest would support a team. Nashville makes a certain amount of sense, I guess. Montreal is tricky because it was once a great baseball town, but fans lost interest when the Expos got screwed the year the strike wiped out the playoffs and WS. I'm not sure that interest is easily revived.
Nashville I think would be a leading candidate. Montreal or Vancouver too, although Canada right now is a problem with the restrictions. I doubt Portland with the chaos going on there.
Nashville would make for interesting geographic rivalries...

We just moved to Ashland and our new neighbors are telling me this has been the driest April they've ever seen... by a long shot. Nearby reservoirs and lakes are apparently much lower than normal.
I'm not looking forward to fire season.

Probably Nashville vs Montreal.

Love Albany, but that town could never even support minor league baseball.

It's great up here. Albany A's.

I was kidding. We can barely support a team in Troy.
J/K. I could see Portland

A as in Aces, not Athletics.
Nashville seems like a good choice. Vegas would be cool.
Where’s the puck, eh?
I assume they'd need another new stadium built.
Maybe MLB waits to see how full the Raiders stadium is in a non COVID season.
They're still working on that, but it's not a done deal.
