Wish the Bucs game was a 1 pm Sun. I want to go to that one, but night game will make it diff.
Here's 2 more #Giants games, per source: #WashingtonFootball in Week 17 (1/9/22). #Rams in Week 6 (10-17) Both are at home. #NFLScheduleRelease
I don't mind playing the WFT on Thursday night on Week 2. I mean we'll still be relatively fresh after one week. It's better getting that Thursday game out of the way sooner rather than later.
Week 1- thoughts on opening game vs Denver. Talking 20th anniversary of 9/11. Questions- Who is the Denver Broncos QB- is it Lock or Rodgers? Then Shurmur returns.
Diehl- this seems to be the year for Daniel Jones to step and showing he is the franchise QB. Do you see him stepping up? PS- He must step up and make that move. With so many new players and weapons this has to be a much better year. This time next year we will know if DJ is the guy or they are looking elsewhere.
Wilcox- talking about Eagles tanking and how that angered the Giants and then the Eagles jumped the Gmen to steal Smith. Thoughts on Giants feelings towards the Eagles. PS- Giants and Eagles don't need all of this to hate each other. Eagles had even called Gmen prior to draft about possibly trading together. Not really a dirty deed move by the Eagles but, Giants would have taken Smith if he were there but, Giants pivoted well and moved down to get Toney. PS says he knew Giants loved Toney but didn't see how the Gmen would get him as 11 too high and then 2nd round to late. The trade down was a perfect win win for the Giants.
Diehl- talking about secondary additions and ability to play in so many ways. Feels the secondary is one of the deepest and most versatile secondary groups around. PS- This is a Patriots play, get a very good secondary and manufacture pass rush. Another reason why they didn't push an edge early when the value wasn't there. They added players all around and this defense can be very good.
Wilcox- asking about SB, and if he is back to health and stats of 2018.. Wilcox screwed up his question asking if SB would be franchised after 2021.. PS- corrects him that he had year 5 option picked up. He thinks SB plays like he did as a rookie and if he does he will get his longer term contract. The field will determine that.
Diehl- asking about all of these weapons, then turns to the question(s) are on Garrett. Will Garrett be more varied etc. PS- it is too be seen still. He is a smart guy but Garrett is pretty consistent and lacks flash in his offensive play style. Judge added young guys with some ability to add pieces here but, the key comes down to the Oline-then DJ and then- Garrett.
Wilcox goes 7-9 won't get it done and PS nails him (without him knowing he was being nailed) by saying 7-9 won't work for anyone...
is sept 19th...that is awesome that we play them on a thursday night right before..and not the sunday...would be good if we can win too for the best man speech
Sounds like Giants will close the regular season at Philly against the Eagles (Dec. 26) and home to Washington in Week 18, per league sources. Back to back NFC East rivals Link - ( New Window )
Hearing Giants will host the Raiders on Nov. 7, per league source, and sounds like the bye week will follow in Week 10. Link - ( New Window )
I would rather have had bye week after having to go to Chargers and maybe play Chargers after playing @ NO, @ DAL, or @ KC so we are at least part of the way across the country.

LAR = Los Angeles Rams
LAS = Las Vegas Raiders
Is that right?

Won't be the kickoff game, as had been speculated.
Peter King had said the KO game would be either Buffalo or Dallas, so we'll see about that.

Absolutely love getting away games over with first in our division.

Chargers at Wft

And because it matters - Bears @ LAR SNF

and then they do a nice job matching up the "crappy" teams.

How realistic is it really for the NFL to get rid of Thursday games? Would they even consider it?

Amazon is paying 1 billion a season for TNF, and I believe the new media contracts are for the next 11 years.

Agreed. The whole 17 games vs 18 weeks will also trip people up.
