Syracuse-
Fargas 2-5, SB (I say this partially in jest/hyperbole but there is something "Angel Pagany" about Fargas. He's likely closer to helping the 2021 Mets than Lee (but Lee is on the 40 man)
Lee 2-4, 2 rbi (has only made one appearance in CF, leads me to believe they view him as a CO, obviously makes him less intriguing than in CF)
Eric's favorite David Thompson (yes, still playing now a 1b, 0-2, 2 k's)
Hager 3-5 (the obligatory.... he was once a 1st round pick!... okay 10 years ago)
Tarpley .1 innings 4 hits 3 runs 0 walks 0 k's (era now 67.50)
AA
Lindsay 0-3, K (1-17, 9 k's)
Vientos 0-4, 4 k's (3-22, 12 k's)
Megill 5 innings 2 hits 0 runs 1 walk 7 k's (if he keeps pitching like this he will be in consideration to help this years team, granted it's been 2 start)
Brooklyn
Mauricio 1-5, HR (3), K (he does have 4 errors on the downside. He could be special with some organizational patience and development)
Baty 2-4, BB, K (keeps mashing, the future at 3b)
Hernandez 1-3, BB, 2 k's (5 games played since 2018)
Mangum 0-4, K (off-the-charts off-field stuff, leader, great guy but I just don't see it coming together. Future coach is my guess)
Walker 5 innings 4 hits 1 run 1 walk 7 k's
Goggin 2 perfect 4 k's
MacDonald 2 perfect 3 k's
St. Lucie
Alvarez 3-5, K, CS (beast)
PCA 1-4, BB, K, SB
Palmer 0-2, 2 BB, K (very intriguing kid)
Newton 1-3, 2 BB, K
Opp 3.1 innings 3 hits 0 runs 3 walks 5 k's (not much of a prospect but from England so that's pretty cool)
That is an issue because will he hit for enough pop to be a corner OF as PCA profiles as a CF

And likely 210-220 when he’s done filling out no less

Mauricio already has 3 homers this season and the power is only going to improve further. Mauricio doesn’t have the wheels for CF anyway. Blankmeyer hinted he thought he’d eventually be a “big time” power hitting CO and I think that’s a realistic outcome given his development so far. Plate discipline will likely make or break his eventual upside.
There was buzz he was contemplating retirement this off-season so.:. Yeah... unlikely he’s the player some of us were hoping.
Keep in mind by this time we will likely have a DH.
If both Nimmo and Conforto aren't re-signed, things are really thin at the ML level as well, particularly if Dom moves to 1B/DH platoon with Alonso.
There was some buzz Szapucki was being discussed for the Saturday start (last starter on the 40 man) but that has died down. Tarpley was a fine waiver grab but yeah, don’t see it, he’s been awful. I’m very intrigued by Megill, I was consistently told he was a future RP (and he very well might be) but he’s 6’7 and misses bats, curious if his third pitch is coming along at all (very few scouting reports in the early season on non-top names). Fargas and Hager are obviously impacted by not being on the 40 man but that could change as the season moves along. Angel Pagan was very good for a short run, Fargas has some similar qualities.

On this date in 1962, Mets pitcher Craig Anderson was the winning pitcher in both ends of a doubleheader.
He would lose his next 19 decisions and never win another game in the big leagues.
I'd almost pretend Ramirez doesn't exist (until he does). 0 professional games played. Skillset is intriguing but look at Adrian Hernandez, they gave him 1.5 million and to this point... absolutely nothing.
Eh, day game after a night game and off day tomorrow makes sense to be cautious even if it was just a bad cramp. If he’s out on Friday night I’d be concerned.
Surprised Lee over Fargas. My guess is for the defense though. Lee can't hit much worse than Almora was.

to the IL, Lee called up.

100% due to the 40 man. Lee is on the 40 man, Fargas is not. Lee is in fact the ONLY available position player on the 40 man outside of Grullon and he's a catcher. They legitimately didn't have another option on the 40 man and with Nimmo apparently back on Friday it didn't make sense to lose a player for as little as 2 days.
THAT Jake Hager is something like 6'5 250. He'd be more of power hitter lol

Such a sweet swing, not quite as natural or as tall but almost like a righty Strawberry with the ease, effort and power.

Huge upside. Potential star.
believes Hoglund will still go round 1 and that his injury may push a guy like Sam Bachman into the first 10 picks. I noted yesterday, I like Bachman #Mets

I'd love to get a guy like Hoglund in the 2nd.

Either he or Hill, though Law thinks both go round 1 (late) as TJ return rates are now about 80%, the relative risk that rate isn't huge.

Especially with cutting down of walk totals, Ryan Cusick intrigues me
Leiter/Rocker/Cusick/Bachman
Leiter is either hurt or fatigued, scratched late due to workload but he's struggled a bit recently. This kid Anthony Solometo seems like the type of arm the Mets have targetted round 2.
