Canadian quarterback Nathan Rourke has earned an invite to New York Giants rookie mini-camp. The 22-year-old went unselected in the 2020 NFL Draft and due to COVID-19 there were no rookie mini-camps last year. The Giants are holding rookie mini-camp from May 14-16, it’s an opportunity for Rourke to impress and earn a contract. New York currently has four quarterbacks on the roster, which include starter Daniel Jones who was selected sixth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, Mike Glennon, Clayton Thorson, and Joe Webb. During his senior season at Ohio University, Rourke threw for 2,676 yards, 20 touchdowns against five interceptions with a 61.4 completion percentage. He rushed for 780 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards-per-carry. |

And Kadarius Toney was the first Florida player drafted by the Giants since....Jesse Palmer
I would be shocked if the Giants keep more than 2 QB's. Barring injury they will go into the season with Jones and Glennon at QB.
Drafted in 2020 by British Columbia in the 2nd round.
6'1, 210 lbs .... will be 23 in about 10 days?

However, IMHO, I'd prefer an extra OL instead of a third QB.

Rourke on PS as developmental QB, and Toney as 3rd DIRE Emergency QB (a la Tom Matte)? ;)
Famous Amos Potato Bowl - ( New Window )
Have to say, that's the first video I've ever watched from the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. It brings me back to the glory days of the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl.
He looks like a good athlete and pretty good mechanically.
It's funny about the system being played...I feel like playing that style of offense would benefit Jones immensely over what they've done the past two years.
Sign me up.
More likely he is a warm camp body and if he looks like he is any better than Webb maybe he will be kept on eventually as scout team fodder for when we play more mobile QB’s
