so he should be back Friday and we’ll have likely have Nimmo back over the weekend, early next week at the latest it seems.

Would be nice to get a win today. Don’t wish Harvey any ill-will but hope we can knock him around a bit. He’s been OK, but his stuff is really hittable. Hopefully our 2-5 hitters can take him deep a few times.

And Peraza at 3B. Small gripe but Villar is a middle infielder and is a huge plus at 2B. He has very little experience at 3B.

Unfortunately, after I started that Allman Betts thread I discovered the amphitheather was only selling minimum of 4 seats together bc of covid. I don't know 3 others locally that would want to go (most of my friends where I live now are younger, diff tastes..). Wife's not an Allman's fan, hated Widespread Panic show about 10 yrs ago (she's younger and doesn't like guitar jams).

I like to buy good seats (don't see great) and might've considered buying 2 tx, but not 3-4 at those $.

I was hoping to see. Great situational running/hitting/defense.

maybe not quite gold glove in CF anymore but he definitely seems like he'd still be in the plus category. Has consistently made hard contact and doesn't K too much.

My biggest frustration with Alderson's first stint was how even the depth pickups never worked out (Mayberry, De Aza, Vargas etc). Between Pillar, Villar, Loup, Almora, Walker it looks like this year he made up for it.

comparisons sake Nimmo has been +2, so while Pillar has been a nice asset, he has in no way been "plus" in CF.

C'mon Eric, that's not "plus" in CF. Passable is more like it. 24 CF's are in the plus in terms of OAA, 37 are "not" in the negative.

Adolis Garcia...tied for second in OAA amongst CF's, 9 homers, 155 wRC+. Quite a start to his season for Texas.

He is, and he's clearly the most obvious casualty. Looking at the Mets 40 man, Tarpley is likely a goner very soon. Any OF/IF needs will need a player removed and added to the 40. Fargas, Drury, Tovar etc. They also could release Betances (linked is the 40 man)

Career 192 homers (should hit 200), 90 steals (doubt he steals 10 more but anything is possible), 1723 hits (2000 very possible). That's a very nice career under the radar.

Considering Kilome cleared waivers I think his trade value is close to zero... well it technically IS zero

play almost every day. Nimmo and Pillar have both looked very strong defensively so far. I was hoping for league average from both and both have exceeded expectations.

Tough to pull off while playing for a Boston team but Xander Bogaerts remains underrated and I'm not exactly clear why? 1.7 fWAR already this season. Has 4 seasons 4+ fWAR (was easily on pace to clear that again last year) and 3 of those seasons were 4.9, 4.9 and 6.8!

So Semien WAS in fact a complete steal for Toronto for 1 year. 125 wRC+, completely passable defensively at 2 positions.

140 wRC+ this year! No indication he was actually available but he's good. I'm also happy to hear the Mets looked into Means, I do suspect that was Porter however.
