Yeah, it's pretty unbelievable. They're like begging Giants fans to not listen to them. They got their wish with me. Haven't listened for more than a min. in about 10 years.

But is overridden with Jets, Mets, and now Eagles garbage. Fantastic.

It's important how well he understands the NY sports market, which is very different from Philadelphia. They have one team in each major sport, NY has multiple teams. Also, it's important how he intends to program the station and what on-air talent he might let go or bring in.

It's much more important that the hosts be passionate about the teams.

WFAN seems to need a refresh and I think a lot of us feel that they aren't very good at being the Giants Station. I listen via the app (from the West Coast) and there's a ton of Yankees talk, as there should be on the Yankees station, but not a ton of Giants talk..

I assumed there's like ten thousand Spike Cohen's and Spike Eskins on long island.

I agree and hearing how rivals think is more interesting to me than hearing Gio talk about how uninspiring Pat Shurmur is.

I actually think this could work.

The Ricky Sanchez pod is pretty well regarded, though I don't listen to it.

All kidding aside, aren't a few of the Giants beat writers Philly fans too?

he's an Eagles fan, he can't run WFAN behind the scenes. His job is dependent on ratings. He's not going to put Eagles fans in place in positions because he's an Eagles fan. He's obviously well thought of to get the position and if he wants to keep the position he isnt going to do what some of you somehow believe he is going to do, shove eagles shit down our throats.

probably has better programing than the FAN so maybe this is good.
