And the problem is?
They travel to NO before traveling to Dallas

....otherwise seems ok
Pretty manageable

Schedule. Anything worse than 10-7 will be a disappointment.
glad they get Thursday out of the way early
Victor in CT : 5/12/2021 2:55 pm : link
and after a home game, very short trip to WAS. works nicely.

Nice that the BYE is not too early or late.
Some breaks
Thegratefulhead : 5/12/2021 2:58 pm : link
We could win the first 5 games. Please. Confidence is everything with a young team. Yes pessimists, we could lose them all too.
15 days off before TB

Bye falls right in the middle......
Simms11 : 5/12/2021 3:04 pm : link
That’s a decent schedule. There’s some tough ones on there, but I think the Giants will be up for the challenge this year. 10 wins should be the goal.
this early part of the year is much more manageable then years past.
mphbullet36 : 5/12/2021 3:04 pm : link
the middle is probably the hardest part.

But I think we should be able to get off to a 3-0 start if we are playing good football. That will set us up nicely the rest of the way.

I'd much rather have the bye after MNF than before it. Before it feels like overkill and a short week to follow. But after would be a nice balance.

Maybe overly optimistic but with some early success that KC game could be a pretty hyped up showdown that tells us alot about where we are at.

That KC game is intriguing to me. I've never been to Arrowhead & have the next day-11/2-off. Anyone been to Arrowhead? Good time?
A couple of observations
Sprintfish : 5/12/2021 3:24 pm : link
(1) Prime time games are all Away. While WFT is a short trip as noted above, still just seems like extra burden on our team. Couldn't at least one be home? I guess they give deference to the playoff teams.

(2) 4 of the last 7 games are in the division. Will make things really interesting down the stretch.
And actually...
Sprintfish : 5/12/2021 3:27 pm : link
3 of the last 4 are in the division. With the fourth being Chicago for added benefit of the slotting of the 1st round pick. Going to be VERY interesting.
6-3 or better at the bye week
AnnapolisMike : 5/12/2021 3:28 pm : link
Would be the marker in my mind. The back 8 games is a bit of a minefield.

Overall it is a nice schedule. Nice catching TB after the bye week. No hateful road trips and the divisional games are spread out fairly well.
Nice bye week
eric2425ny : 5/12/2021 3:32 pm : link
But both the KC and TB are away and prime time games? That sucks.

I hate Monday night games. We are not a team that historically blows out opponents so the games are either nail biters that amp you up and it’s hard to sleep afterwards or we get beat and you’re too frustrated to go to sleep lol.
Thanks for pulling this together
tpgiantsfan : 5/12/2021 3:43 pm : link
I’m vaccinated, sitting on airline flight credits and a ton of miles, and I’ve accumulated over 7 weeks of vacation. Time for some road games! Looking forward to meeting up with my brother at some away games this year.

4 of the last 6 games on the road; how is that fair?

And worse IMHO, a stretch of 4 roads games in 5 weeks:

Week 13 (12/5) - AT MIA
Week 14 (12/12) - AT LAC 4:05 or 4:25
Week 15 (12/19) - VS DAL
Week 16 (12/26) - AT PHI
Week 17 (1/2) - AT CHI

Ugh!
That Bucs game will be a really good barometer
bLiTz 2k : 5/12/2021 3:56 pm : link
Of how far this team has come. I thought the way both teams played each other last year, the Giants had every chance to legitimately win. Did they improve enough to get over that hump to upset a SB contender? We had them in our grasp and couldn't close the deal.

living down in the bay area, no chance I'll miss that one. The 2019 game was nuts, and the Giants fans take over Ray Jay better than any road crowd in football.

Gonna take the wife to her first Giants game. (hopefully my parents will be okay babysitting my little guy lol)

Exact. Plus, I have to update the site, which takes a couple of hours. And by the time I go to bed, I am replaying the game in my head and I can't fall asleep either!

I like the schedule this year. I feel like it's balanced and gives us a chance to get our legs under us. Only thing I hate is the short week on the road early in the season to the Skins.

just looking at some "themes" of the schedule, i look at the first 4 and last 4. These seem to be much better than last year. Also, starting in week 6 we will have 4 out of the next 5 weeks where we are either at home or on bye. That is quite nice.

It was inevitable once we saw we were opening at home. With the 17 game schedule we have 9 road games this year and with the opener at home 9 of the final 16 were on th eroad. There had to be some double ups.
Much easier schedule than the past several years.

NFL should have tried to give NFC teams with Home Week 1 games away games on both sides of bye week.

I was at that game, too. The funny thing is just today at lunch I was thinking about how I used to pass the old LA Rams office on the way to work at Pico & Motor; that was nearly 30 years ago now.

The only thing truly profound is the passing of time.
