I'm a hipster asshole, but I fucking loved checking out Deep Ellum. Def my favorite part of Dallas (other than watching the Giants beat the Cowboys in Dak's first game, obviously).
I'm a music guy, and they had a few blocks with rows of bars with doors open, each with some form of live music, including both bands and DJs. There was also awesome bbq and great food. Saw/bought some cool artwork from DIY artists who had some shops setup in that area also.
Good shit, wish all of Dallas was like that (it's not).
Do yourself a big favor and drive to Deep Elum in Dallas and eat some great BBQ at either Pecan Lodge or TerryBlacks BBQ.
You will not be disappointed it’s terrific.
I thought about maybe doing a Dallas road trip this year. But me and the wife are looking like we are going to get tickets for the New Orleans game. Really haven’t been to that city and there could be a nice percentage of NYG fans.

Dallas is every year, NO is worth jumping on for sure. Incredible place.
The Stockyards (stuck in the 1800's), Sundance Square, The Colonial, the Zoo, the Botanical Garden/Water Gardens (think Logan's Run from 1976). Arlington is sort of in the middle of both cities, and really not much going on. Normal suburbia.
Thinking of going to that game, did you buy in stubhub?
I bought tickets as soon as they became available last night... I used Seat Geek... fees almost always make me not want to buy the stupid tickets.. four tickets at $279 each... with $85 bucks in fees on top of each ticket... so annoying but F it, we going! Haha
RE: I surprised my Dad with tix to Dallas for the 2016 season opener
