Really hoping for offense with Miggy at 3rd. I'd start Wade at SS to reduce the chance of errors.
Miggy keeps getting chances to flash. I hope he can step into that spotlight.
Of course.
Ford is useless at the plate.
Two nights on concrete after returning from knee surgery. Those things swell easily if you do not watch out.
different balls. I've wondered the same about Torres.
Deadened ball

have warning track power now.. I do not see the snap he had two years ago.

It is only about a 1% difference in distance from the reports I read earlier. It sure isn't 20 ft.
time for some thunder.
He isn't a starter anymore after his 2 TJ surgeries

I think he has shown enough to think he might get back. He needs to locate better and that would be as much an issue in the BP as it is in the rotation.
What we need is a damn lineup that plays like the expect to win. I haven't felt that with this team for 3 years.
Definitely right about that. This offense is just atrocious.
The great pitching recently and Stanton hot streak has covered up just how shit this offense has been all season
Watching strikeouts is fun? Huh?
Taillon is the weak link in the rotation. You can see he has good stuff. O'Neill is probably right, just wait out his control issues. Yeah, he is a #4 or #5 pitcher. Need those kind - mid 4 era, eat innings, give the team a chance to win. He is probably there to throw until Severino comes back and then he can split time while Sevy builds back up and gets his command and control back.
The hitting is the problem right now..
Don't bother PHing Voit. Is he hurt? He can't play 1st for the last four innings?
I'm sure Poon will answer all the hard hitting questions from Meredith after the game.

Annoying, but given that Voit is just back from knee surgery and the players all complain on how hard that field is on the legs, it is not unforgiveable to sit Voit. It sucks, but I understand it.

If only he had a mid 4 Era. Right now he is at 5.40
He has only pitched longer then 5 innings 1 time in 7 outings. This is why i question if he is still a starter anymore. Maybe he will figure out soon but he is definitely the weak link in the rotation right now

awful good stuff to be on the SWB shuttle.

It takes more than 7 starts after two years to gain your command and control.
And that ladies and gentleman is that. Hasta la vista.

German and Kluber missed just as much time as Taillon and they are getting better and better as the season goes on while Taillon hasn't shown any improvement at all

Yeah he has. Just had two good starts in a row.
German was not injured and Kluber was one of the best pitchers in baseball before being hurt. Big difference in both cases.
Less than a hit an inning so far 33 IP 32 Hits and 43Ks 8BBs. His problem has been that 8 of the 32 hits have been HRs. Plus he's stuck pitching to Sanchez which doesn't help.
Games like yesterday happen in the regular season. Sucks to watch it but it's just one game.
The bigger issue right now is that last nights lineup had these 5 batting averages in it at the bottom of the order. How can you win games like this?
Sanchez .197 - He should be the back 2 games a week or less
Ford .095 - Nice story but get him off the roster
Frazier .141 - Talk about spitting the bit
Andujar .000 - No glove and injuries have made him worthless
Gardner .182 - Mistake to choose him over Tauchman
Taillon had the one inning where they were hitting rockets off of him, but he looks better and better to me.
Hey, they won a series for the first time in 2 years down there though! It might be time to send out Ford,
they are getting zilch from him, and if Frazier doesn't pick it up soon...
Left field has become a black hole for them so far
this season. Maybe they make a move at the deadline?
Shocking. Positively shocking.

I am not that impressed with him, too many mistakes with his secondary pitches if you ask me.
He is their weakest link in the rotation right now.
He also needs to use his change more than he does. He did throw a bad one to Meadows that he took out of the park.
