YouTube suggested another video right after the one you posted, awesome stuff. You could tell Grohl didn’t see this coming.

The stuff guys can do with those repeaters or whatever they call them is incredible. They have ones guys work with their feet too.

I always love to see fans get a shot like that. it is a dream. I would do it in a second. Waiting for James Hetfield to call me up and play drums to Master of Puppets.
good stuff

It's called a looper. Fantastic tool, and actually not too hard to use.
Loopers are evil and dangerous devices.

Sure they seem harmless enough at first but then all of a sudden you’re six and a half hours into Watermelon In Easter Hay and you can’t figure out how to wrap it up.

I hope you nailed the solo at least.
I always nail the solo,
Shepherdsam : 5/14/2021 10:36 am : link
there’s something wrong with the playback. Is this thing synced correctly?
That’s not me.
lol Shep
Johnny5 : 5/14/2021 11:12 am : link
Miss ya dood!
Anyone have a good rec for a not too expensive looper?

?
I love my Ditto x4 but it’s a few years old,
Shepherdsam : 5/14/2021 1:03 pm : link
not too many bells and whistles, and I don’t know how much it costs or if they’re still around.

I guess I’m a little out of the loop these days, maybe someone else will chorus in.
Ditto X2

Definitely a good looper for not too much coin. The Ditto + is good and cheap too.

I have a Boss RC-30 which is pretty good, though I prefer the switches that the Ditto has. Honestly I really like the Pigtronix Infinity that one of my buddies uses live, but it's not inexpensive. Depends what you want to use it for. They are all great for using as a scratchpad, loop and practice solos etc. If you use them live they all work pretty well too. If you use them in a band setting they can trainwreck you in a hurry though... lol
Probably a common feature,
Shepherdsam : 5/14/2021 4:04 pm : link
But one of the most useful things on my Ditto is the MIDI in.
I sync it up to my drums so that the tempo is bang on the beat, it’s booze-proof.
Yeah I miss the Midi on my RC-30
Johnny5 : 5/14/2021 4:56 pm : link
I keep thinking I am going to sell it and get an RC300 if I stay with Boss, because it has 3 separate tracks each with their own rec and stop switches, plus midi for a drum machine. My 30 has rhythm/drums but it is just so basic, especially the time signatures. But I don't even use the second loop on my 30 so the 300 I'm sure is overkill. If I could practice using it with my drummer I would use it live, but he lives in South Jersey almost in Philly so it's enough just getting him to gigs...lol.

How you doing Shep? Still riding the Shadow and playing guitar?
Hey Johnny,
Shepherdsam : 5/14/2021 8:22 pm : link
She had her first bath of the year today. I doubt I’ll be trading her in any time soon. Always playing brother, who needs a crowd?

and also hilarious that he listened to the Marty Schwartz instructional video first before playing Simple Man. I'm sure many of us would have done the same.

Shep! Do you actually look like Steve Stine or is that just the image of you that I have in my head?

I have a first gen Ditto which I think merely plays back my shitty rhythm guitar. Is there more I can do with it than that?
