NFT: No-no alert in Kelenic's debut

allstarjim : 5/13/2021 11:55 pm
Indians' Plesac has no hit the Mariners through 6. Jarred Kelenic, one of the brightest prospects in baseball, making his debut in LF for the Mariners.

Kelenic has hit the ball hard twice and struck out, taking an 0-3 thus far.

This game is a Free Game of the Day on MLB.TV, so given the no hitter in progress and the subplot of this game, thought some may be interested.

Now through 7.

This would be the 2nd time in two weeks the Mariners have been no-hit if Plesac can finish it.
Orioles' Means last no-hit

Single to lead of the bottom of the 8th and then homer by Dylan Moore, so no-no gone and now shut out gone.

I guess I'll watch for Kelenic's presumably final AB of the night.

Great job by Brodie getting an elite young closer for this bust

Just have to put it in the past. Get excited about PCA, Alvarez, Mauricio, Baty.

I watched JK's first at-bat. That could have been a ringing double to Right Field.....if the Earth had just been rotating a little faster....ha-ha !! Damn you Brodie !

A Rosario seems to be settling in for Cleveland. He made a nice catch the other day in CF, and he's playing a steady SS too.

One-hopper in his third AB that was right at the first baseman for the out, and a fairly well-struck fly ball that was caught in the left-centerfield gap just shy of the warning track in his final AB.

He did not look overmatched and I doubt he sees the minors ever again.
