4th seed is ours with a win!
Boston is resting everyone
Tatum, Fournier, Smart, Thompson, Kemba, and Williams.
Thibs will have them ready and understand what they are playing for.
No injuries and lets celebrate a great season on our home court today!!!
Hey NY WE HERE!
#LFGK
Yeah but he’s bros with all the big stars who were going to come as free agents!
I fear he won't but I agree.
The height of NBA greatness IMO was from 1980 through 2000. Obviously these guys were doing great things well beyond 2000 but they were all established by then.
In fact, I often think about who would be the next 25 greatest players since they did the top 75 players for the 75th anniversary. Needless to say these 3 are all there. All 3 of them were awesome.
No doubt the defensive passion is much greater this year, but other comparisons are tough to make.
No doubt the defensive passion is much greater this year, but other comparisons are tough to make.
But you also have to give credit to Thibs for where they are and actually holding players accountable as opposed to just saying it. Yes, Randle and Barrett improved and we got Rose. But is that the difference between one of the worst teams in the league and 4th in the east? The point is that Fizdale was a horrendous coach. Plain and simple.
But yeah, Fiz wasn't much.
they are going to give it to Monty

Honestly, if the Knicks lose today's game, they should just concede from the Playoffs.
The Celtics are playing only 10 players. If we lose to someone like Luke fucking Kornet, I give up.
We could show up at 25% and still beat them. No reason this shouldn't be an absolute slaughter.
Even Elfrid should dominate today's game
No, his playing time has been diminished and really should be benched completely because his play has been erratic in the 1st place .
This guys sucks major ass
Then you have Payton who is a FA and will not be back next season yet they still insist on starting him . Makes no damn sense
team is playing stupid
Would be nice to make it up 30 and empty the bench so the end of roster guys can have some fun...but we all know how unlikely that it with Thibs
I laughed out loud watching that sequence of possessions. He’s a debacle at this point
You don't need Vildoza.
Burks and Quickley just play them more minutes and problem is solved. The answer is so simple and everyone sees the problem from the fans to the media but Thibs
Heck, Alec Burks isn't even a point guard and he runs the offense better than Payton, who apparently is a PG
This is embarrassing.
Can we get Rose back in?
Team playing like they could juat roll the ball out and win, absolute trash performance win or lose
This team is tired and battle test.
Let's do some damage in the Playoffs!
Assuming the Nets win, the Bucks will play the Heat, the Nets will play the winner of Boston/Washington, and the Sixers will play the 8 seed after the play in
Washington beats Charlotte and gets the 8th seed. They will play Boston. Indiana plays Charlotte in the 9 vs. 10 eliminator.

You gotta relax this is Knicks basketball, nothing easy.
Knicks had one of the toughest schedules in the league and won 41 games.
Thibs has 5 days to get ready for ATL and the team will get some rest.
It's been a long season, they have played a ton of minutes.

Take it down several notches. The man is exhausted. They all were.
They’ll have ample rest between now and game 1.
If i am the nets id be nervous about that, nets still win but the Wizarss have played mich better and with Beal and Westbrook anything can happen
anyway lets goo bring on the Hawks
Celtics play Indiana.
Atlanta is locked in the 5
Miami is the 6.
Playoff match ups set
Now the fun starts

The guy has to be playing on fumes. Now he will have the little time to get his body some much needed rest. He will be ready for the start of the playoffs. This team wouldn’t be anywhere without him, and even when gassed and playing poorly he often leads the team in most key stats for the game.
I love the Knicks chances to win the first round at least.

the 5 daya rest will be very good for this team, intrested to see if they start saturday night or sunday afternoon
yeah thats what i am thinking to
I am taking Heat. Prove me wrong Milwaukee.
Y’all should listen to bricktop here. Knicks have played a ton the last 2 weeks...6 game west coast trip, followed by 3 in 4 days to close the regular season this weekend, none of which were games they could take their foot off the pedal.
They got gassed in the 4th, but their best players still made enough plays to close it out. Nothing to lose our shit over
Let’s step back and appreciate the moment here...Knicks just finished 41-31, #4 seed in the playoffs, in a funky season that included a lot of games crammed into a short schedule. However long a run we manage, we’re no doubt a team nobody wants to play. Fucking amazing, considering what Knicks basketball has been for 20 years!!!
Have to be physical with Trae, yeah they are going to call some fouls but cant let him just do whatever he wanta..
have to stay out on bogdanavich, he is the one giy you dont relax off of..

There's no need for posts like this. There's not a die hard in here that is deliriously proud of this team and excited for the playoffs. In the heat of the moment sure we post stuff. I put an lol at the end of mine. Hard to watch the last 6 minutes of that game and not be upset in the moment. Of course now 30 minutes later were happy as can be. All fair man...wasn’t directed at you or anyone personally, more of a general let’s chill and enjoy the moment. You’re right, game threads are for venting emotions as much as anything.
My point was, considering how tough the home stretch schedule was, I’m not surprised they looked worn out today, but they still took care of business the last 3 games, even if it wasn’t pretty.
On to the playoffs, let’s go Knicks!!
Celtics fan here. I actually think it would be best if they did. But this Celtics team is liable to find the defense energy they ve been lacking all season, bubble team fatigue, in a play in game.
they are doing eastern conference tuesday on tnt and western conference wednesday on eapn
First game is 6:30 really can't start it much earlier.
Probably lose most of the west coast fans already for the first game.

Excellent.
That only matters if the Lakers definitely want to play the two seed. There’s no way the Lakers would lose to the 9-10 winner though.
Bogdanovic, Hunter and Huerter are sharpshooters
Capela is a beast on the boards
Warriors vs. either the Lakers or Blazers in the play-ins will be awesome to watch.
I really hope the Wizards beat the Celtics so we see Wizards vs. Nets in the 1st round. That would be a fun series.
I feel good vs. Hawks, though I know Trae will be treated by the refs circa MJ '97.
Rooting for Nuggets or Suns to come out of the West. I hate Utah, Lakers, & Clippers.
They have barely any playoffs experience so i think they are a perfect matchup for us in round 1. The Heat have a whole recent Finals run-worth of playoff experience and the Bucks have a ton of playoff experience as well so I think this was best case scenario for us in round 1.
Hawks will be tough but any 1st round matchup is going to be tough when you’re right smack in the middle of the bracket.
Yes the Hawks can get hot from 3 but so can we. And The great thing about a 7 game series is you have to stay hot enough the whole series to beat a team better than you, and that rarely happens unless we’re talking about a REALLY good 3 point shooting team like the Warriors teams of past for instance. I’d rather play out our odds in a 7 game series against a team like the hawks that needs to rely on help from the refs and getting lucky from 3 (and who we beat 3 times this season) rather than a team versatile and confident and experienced Miami team who beat US 3 times. We struggle against very good bigs and that type of thing has a higher probability of beating you in a 7 game series than a team who can simply get hot from 3.
Knicks have played that style all season, they are going to wear on you and grind out games, they are used to this style..
If the refs let the Knicks play physical they will have the advantage, if they dont Hawks will..
This will be the key to the series, are they going to let the Knicks be physical or they going to call every little contact..
You forgot the most annoying thing about having to watch Young. His hair. That shit is a frizzled mess. And makes him even more punchable than he already is, if that’s possible

Dude needs to be on the horn with Ron Popeil, stat. I mean it looks like something that should be on a monkey's balls.
@BobbyMarks42
Ties that will need to get broken
4. CLE/OKC
8. ORL (via CHI)/NOP/SAC
11. CHA/SAS (if both lose in play-in)
19. NYK/ATL
21. HOU (via POR)/LAL/NYK (via DAL)
25. LAC/DEN
So the Knicks will get either the 19th or 20th pick, and the 21st, 22nd or 23rd pick

Bitter sweet in a deep draft.
Maybe Josh Giddy at 20?
It's funny Lakers will be favorite against either the Suns or the jazz
It will be interesting if the knicks try and trade pre draft to get a star.
I would try and trade one for a pick in 2022.
Kick it down the road to buy some time
Most teams are not looking to add 3 rookies at once.
Got 2 years 60 million left on his deal.
Would Thibs make that trade again?
I do think its more likely that we trade 1 or 2 of our top 3 picks this year. Either in a deal to move up or for a vet, or even future firsts or seconds. This roster doesnt really have room for 3 rookies, plus you might take 3 rookies that dont get any time on the court, not ideal.
Bogdanovic, Hunter and Huerter are sharpshooters
Capela is a beast on the boards
I'd be happy to have Trae take the long 3's. The key is keeping him out of the paint. The 2 guys who worry me the most are Bogdanovic who's absolutely been on fire for 6 weeks now and Capela because great offensive rebounding bigs give us fits. I do agree that the usual slower pace of playoff games would give us a big advantage.
I agree that it would be nice to see Phoenix win, generally a likable group of players, but a round 1 exit likely leads to more volatility and both Paul and Booker are guys that have been rumored with the Knicks.
If that continues, Thibs needs to dust off Frank and throw him out there. If only to make sure Rose doesn't get in foul trouble.
Just do one game each night. Give more rest to playoff teams.
They should have a doubleheader each night, but make it east-west. I know that means the 7/8 loser and 9/10 winner have to play a back to back but so be it. It will give more juice to finishing 7/8.
Got 2 years 60 million left on his deal.
Would Thibs make that trade again?
he was hurt for a bug chunk of this year but came back pretty strong offensively. That's a big salary but he's still very young and has basically his whole prime ahead of him. Can he defend?
If that continues, Thibs needs to dust off Frank and throw him out there. If only to make sure Rose doesn't get in foul trouble.
Yep the other 2 games we did a good job on him, but that game he was killing us both penetrating and pushing the ball up the floor. I knew Atlanta was red hot once McMillan got hired but wow the were 36-11 down the stretch. We were 16-4.
If that continues, Thibs needs to dust off Frank and throw him out there. If only to make sure Rose doesn't get in foul trouble.
Frank should be getting 100% of Elf's minutes. If nothing else for floor spacing. He's not taking many shots but is shooting almost 50% from 3 this year. That plus his defense is a pretty intriguing player.

Where the Knicks' two first-round picks will be in the 2021 draft:
— Their own pick will be at No. 19 or 20 overall pick based on who wins the tiebreaker between NY and the Hawks
— Mavericks pick will be between 21 and 23 after a tiebreaker splits up Dallas, Portland, and Lakers
They did make some solid moves at the deadline.
I trust Thibs and staff will have a solid game plan in 7 days.
It going to be a battle and it could go 6 or 7 games.

Its an improvement but is there really that big of a risk difference in 13k vs full capacity with the precautions they have in place (proof of vaccine, negative test) ?
Or is it just for show like a lot of these measures are...
Either way I am pumped they are the 4th seed. What a year. I just hope I can get there without dropping 900 bucks for the worst seat in the house.

Even if he just shows that he would try on D, something he'd have to prove if Thibs signed off on trading for Russell, i'd think he could fit in here rather nicely.
Amazing that the KNicks don't exactly run out a murderers row of defenders yet they lead the league in defense. Their best defender (Mitch and Frank?) don't even play that much.
No idea on D-Lo's defense but Thibs is telling you he'll take a defensive PG who can't actually play on offense before he puts an offense-first PG out there to start.

Seems like teams have started doubling Randle very aggressively in the last few weeks, especially in Q4/crunch time. Doubling him late, as in second defender waits until he starts to make his move before rushing over to double.I think that’s contributed to a perceived drop off in his shot selection and shot making at the end of games
He has done a pretty good job of finding open guys to pass to when that happens...recent wins have been marked by big late baskets by RJ, Burks, Bullock off assists by Randle
I have faith Thibs will have Randle and the rest of the team well prepared for this to continue
Big picture, highlights the need for one more elite scorer for this squad to truly be a title contender...but that’s more of an offseason discussion

Don’t leave out Bullock, he’s been a really good perimeter defender. But generally you’re right, it’s amazing what simply making a commitment to it as a team makes. We can probably count on only one hand the number of times they give up easy baskets bc they don’t hustle back in time

Gotcha. Thanks.
Who does defend those guys well? *Maybe* AD? It seems to me that the role of the center in modern defense is more of a rim protector than anything else, and mostly with respect to PnR and drives from wings/guards. Elite post players like Embiid and Jokic are so rare, in part because of the shift to 3ptrs, a defender suited to slowing those guys is hard to find. Gobert is definitely a big time rim protector.

I think this offseason we are going to see Randle and the Knicks work hardest on what to do when he is aggressively doubled on a regular basis. For obvious reasons he's simply never had to deal with any game plan like that against him for his entire career (and few players do until/unless they actually become all-star caliber players).
Guys like Lebron and Steph are MVP caliber players not just because of their scoring ability, but equally as much because of their passing and how they make their teammates better, but the latter skill also COMES in part from being so accustomed to getting double and tripled -teamed; they know how to respond to it-- it has become basically 2nd nature to them, and precisely WHY they're the best is because they know how to take full advantage of the defense and how to immediately get their guys wide open looks in those situations.
To me, Lebron became a phenomenal passer in this league because he HAD TO. He's one of the most naturally-gifted scorers, and when you have that gift what inevitably happens is teams throw multiple guys at you and you NEED to be able to pass the ball well (and think quickly about where the pass is going).
I personally do see Randle having the potential to be an MVP-like facilitator in that regard, as we often have seen flashes of it this year, but he has a ways to go in that department before becoming a LEGIT MVP player and not just "in the discussion." At this point he (and the team) does not always react well to the pressure of a double-team thrown at Randle. To me, the moment the double team comes, you either make your move and take your shot, or make your move and pass the damn ball. You can't indecisively dribble in place and pick up the ball and stay stationary while 2-3 guys start aggressively trying pry the ball out of your hands. I know it's easier said than done, but I'm holding Randle to high standard to get it figured out this offseason-- he clearly has both the natural talent AND the work ethic to develop that aspect of his game more.
He's still the man I think we ought to target this summer. He's a RFA so Pels can match whatever offer he gets.

I have soured on Lonzo a little bit.
IMO save the cap space for the 2022 FA class were there is better talent available.
I don't want to have to give him 3 yrs 60 million.
Gotta be within 48 hours no? I don't get the hold up with the play in games.

I've also soured on Lonzo. I'm not sure how to put succinctly into words why that is, but the best way I could put it is this: I for some reason just don't see a team paying Lonzo Ball $20M a year to start at PG as a championship-caliber team. With every move we should be thinking championship, not necessarily in 2022, but at some point, and if that means saving our cash for 2023 then so be it, but let's look at the value-for-dollar with Lonzo... Put Lonzo on this team and what does it change? I think it would mean we have slightly better odds of winning a 2nd round series, but we'd still be sizable underdogs in that 2nd round series. Is that really worth $20M a year?
I'll admit-- Ball just hasn't jumped off the screen as being all that good to me.
Also- the Pelicans being as bad as they are considering how good "on paper" they are this year also kind of disturbs me. I mean: Ball, Zion, Ingram, Bledsoe, Adams... how does that group get you such sub-mediocre results? With those guys at his disposal I guess I'd just expect better results from a PG whose about to command "young star" type of money.

larry, I think Lonzo would be perfect fit here. Assuming it's not astronomical, I'd like to snag him. But if not, se la vie.
Summer '22 has potential to be a UFB FA.
The last time the Kings made the postseason...I was living in SF, wasn't married, & Bill Frist was the Senate Majority Leader. Uh, it's been awhile.
That's a good fan base too. ARCO was a great place to watch a game. They looked like they were coming on two years ago, but have obviously regressed.
Then kf they win a round and give Philly a tough series the pressure is going to be even more..
How this franchise takes the next step will be interesting..
Is it adding an estbalished youth like Ball? Going vets like Lowry or derozan? does a superstsr become available?
Beal and Lavine probably won't sign extension.
They might be available at the deadline.
If not they will be FA's
Any deal you do this off season need to be a 1 year deal
This is a very weak FA class and can't over pay just to improve minimally.
I think you bring everyone back on mid level deals.
Burks, Rose, Bullock,and Noel.
Taj on the cheap.
RJ, Quickley, and Toppin will be one year better.
The list is too long of the talent available.
Need to sell Dolan and the fans on 1 more year of patience.

As a team, their defense was bottom of the league terrible. I'd rest that on the coaching. No idea what they're doing.
Also, Ingram is a bit overrated. Talented, but kind of a knucklehead player. Might just be a matter of being young.

Maybe the Kings blow it up and move Fox? Unlikely but you never know in the NBA. But I do think a star will become available. And honestly if one does become available, the Knicks are in great position. OKC and New Orleans have more picks, but is any star clamoring to get there? Highly doubtful.
And if a true superstar does become available, you have to go all in. If the package is mostly picks, in my opinion it’s a no brainer. We’ll see how these deals work put down the line, but do you think Brooklyn or the Lakers will ever regret making those deals for Harden/ Davis? If an all nba level player is available- you do whatever it takes to land them.
I think this is good.
Yes, & think both happen. I think there's a good chance Cs lose both games.
Are we afraid of the Pacers and Celtics? Or just prefer the Wizards and Hornets?
In my mind-- I think Wizards have the best chance to beat the Sixers, though I could be wrong about that, and I'd think we want whichever team could *possibly* knock off the Sixers since we're slated to face the winner of that series in a potential round 2.
He was just a truly atrocious head football coach.
As for people not being comfortable, that's a definite possibility. Me on the other hand...I'm ready for a repeat of the Roaring Twenties, Haha.
That's WHORING 20s. At least that's the word on the street....I am old and married so for me it's just going to be the boring 20s. And that's ok with me.

cmon dude (ny16)..Randle has been dogshit? This team has no shot in the playoffs? Most games are close. The Knicks are 9th in the entire NBA in points differential. IN other words, relax. This is as good as it gets. NExt season when the expectations go full stupid maybe then it would be time to get crazy.
Randle hasn't exactly been Robert Horry at the buzzer but he's been incredible in the 4th quarter all year long. How many huge baskets does this guy hit every night?
It was an older comment sorry if I am late to this but dude...enjoy this.

Agree about Randle. As good as he's been this year, the perfect description is poor man's Lebron. I mean this in the most complimentary way possible, but don't want to hide the fact that Randle isn't the defender or facilitator that Lebron is. Not a knock, I mean the guy has been incredible but he's not the elite defender or passer. He's merely solid there. Which in and of itself is incredible, but also shows how good Lebron is. Maybe Randle can improve both? If he did, wow.

Because i want both teams to think about blowing up their team..
I would love to get brogdon if possible..
IMO no one in the play-in has any shot at going more than 5 games against Brooklyn and the Sixers.
I would enjoy the Celtics getting the 7th or 8th spot just so I can watch them get blown out 4 more times.
neither did i, coaches love Monty and he has been through a lot, he is well deserving but i thought thibs should of won

i think the Beal ship has sailed, the run they went on when everyone got healthy, he is not leaving
He's torn his left ACL twice, I'd be very reluctant.
Least appealing of play in games anyways.
Pacers are definitely a team to keep an eye on this off season. There's definately change that are gonna be made there starting with the coach. If Brogdon shakes loose in a trade we should pounce.
The best defense your going to play against trae is to attack him, make him play defense and maybr you get him into foul trouble..
Guarding him with 1 guy isnt going to work and leaving Payton or Frank on the floor is going to allow him to rest on that side..

thoughts on giving Frank burn to guard Trae? I'm in favor.

eh, sounds good in theory but having old man Rose guard Young for much of the game seems like a great way to get OUR best lead guard gassed and in fould trouble.

I would put Bullock on Trae..
Rose on Bogdanavich..
I'm with nygiants...I'd probably put Bullock on Trae. If only Frank had an offensive game...
I sense that too. They are both super young though.
Ugly game.
Ugly game.
& yet I think Pacers could beat Cs. Don't they they'd beat Wiz.
To clarify though: I do hope the C’s get swept into oblivion and that the contrast between them and a championship caliber team is shown to be so stark that the FO’s hand is forced and the team is blown to smithereens.
Nice. Bring the noise!
hahaha
I will attempt to pick up the slack, Haha. I just wish we knew what time Game 1 tips.

The way it should be in an ideal world.
He cna change his shot depending on the coverage and it is pure, it is unbelievable..
Getting called for fouls, not having fouls called on them, and turning over the ball tend to all be factors when the Warriors wind up losing a game they were winning.
I'm sorry, but I just don't believe it. They would never do that.
I'm sorry, but I just don't believe it. They would never do that.
nba knows if Lebron loses the play in tournament will go away
Nah. His fadeaway 30-footer seemed to do it.
Imagine if the warriors had no challenges on that charge they called? That was the most obvious..
NBA knew if Lebron lost in Play in that Lebron would of bitched and got the play in abolished
That's not a new thing though. I hope Curry gets the sort of star treatment that Trae Young already gets sometime before his career ends.
Kerr was yelling like mad for a timeout. I think Curry was just expecting a TO.
They're lucky Kerr wasn't called for a foul trying to call a TO.
LeBron definitely didn’t look as explosive as usual, his lift wasn’t there. But he still played a hell of a game and hit yet another clutch shot in a career full of them.
Hopefully injuries don’t ruin these playoffs because they should be really fun with all these talented teams.

That little bastard Carusso made 2 of the biggest defensive plays. That steal off a scramble when the warriors were plus 12 that turned into a 3 pointer for the Lakers and forcing Steph into that turnover with the Warriors up 3 and 2 and a half minutes left.
I think there’s a real chance you guys get Towns. The spacing would be unfair and Draymond could cover for Towns’ D to an extent. It would be a crazy talented offensive team but I wouldn’t hate you guys.
I would absolutely hate your team again if Kawhi goes there lol.

They forced so many sloppy turnovers from the Warriors. Steph is incredible, might be the most impactful offensive player ever. Just insane. Draymond was also incredible defensively, he shut down Anthony Davis. Really hope Klay comes back healthy so they can compete for titles again, but they’ll be a tough out against Utah if they get past Memphis.

Caruso honestly looked like their 3rd most important player. Dude is such a smart player and pretty athletic too. I know Knicks fans mentioned Schroder above but I think it was very telling that with the season kinda on the line, that Vogel benched Schroder for Caruso/Matthews. Schroder better rethink the kind of contract he’s going to get. He’ll have his moments during these playoffs but he is pretty damn average overall.
He is a fantastic interview... about as composed and thoughtful in his answers as Joe Judge. Check them out.

That the Warriors are going to trade Wiseman, a guy like Oubre or Wiggins, and a few picks (including one they acquired from the Twolves) for a star player, and everyone is gonna be pissed.

I think that would require too many assets from GS, unless Towns pulls an AD and just refuses to play in Minnesota.
I am thinking maybe a Bam Adebayo-caliber player. Not him specifically, but something along those lines.
Schedule is out for the series. Wed. Game 2. Shocked that Sunday is 7pm TNT. I thought for sure they'd be ABC earlier at either 3 or 5:30, but then again I though ABC would have a doubleheader but they only have 1 game and it makes sense that it is the Lakers.
Will you be able to catch the game?
I'm going to be in a sea of Celts fans. The attic-where I = crash when flying solo-is like an altar to the Bird era Cs.

I think so. We'll be at the hotel in the evenings so I imagine they'll be on TV or I can just stream them.
I wish we had Jordan and Bird's full career numbers on this list, I'm sure they'd be up there. But it's pretty wild how much LeBron stands out from the others. I'm also kind of shocked that Robert Horry only has 3 of these, although this doesn't include his Rockets career where he was also clutch.
Absolutely. Tier 1 marketer though.
He was atrocious in Game 7 of the '10 Finals. Atrocious.
Love me some Costa Rica. Brought my daughter to Papagayo not long ago - the Andaz right on Culebra Bay. Hot as hell, but awesome. Got attacked at the pool by some monkeys too. That was interesting.

No shit? Flying into Liberia it's about a 30-40 minute drive to the resort. Get ready to walk up and down some steep pathways at the resort. They will shuttle you around in a golf cart too. Try to get a room near the pool so you don't have to walk in the heat. It can be rough. Also, suggest grabbing dinner or drinks at the Four Seasons right up the road.

Del, loved Marv growing up in '80s & '90s, but he lost his fastball awhile ago. Helluva career though.
I miss the NBA on NBC with Marv...those were the days.
Knicks have to get off to a fast start, Hawks are a young team, first time playing in front of a crowd like that, it might rattle them a little bit
Yeah, that's a no. Marv was really good, but John was a bit of a curmudgeon at times. Clyde is a Fucking riot.
I hear ya. All four are solid. That said, it's interesting to witness announcers change their tact when the team is suddenly winning.
Totally disagree. I enjoy prime Marv don’t get me wrong but Breen is my favorite BBall play by play guy, and I could literally listen to Clyde call an egg painting contest and I’d enjoy it .
How can two 6th man candidates be from the Jazz?? By definition, one of those guys can't be 6th!

For purposes of the award, the definition of an eligible player is one who comes off the bench in more games than he starts.
Doesn't even matter if the player actually plays starter-level minutes. Jason Terry won the award in 2008-09 playing 34 minutes a game.
So there's nothing in the definition to prohibit multiple nominees from the same team.
Of course, there could be a rule that any one team could only have one nominee, but how you would limit nominees to one per team in terms of a "sixth man" concept itself isn't obvious.

Before I had cable tv growing up I used to listen to Marv on the radio, and even Marty Glickman and Bob Wolf would occassionally fill in. They were great as was Johnny Hoops but Breen and Clyde are unmatched for me. Breen gives you so much more description and knowledge. He's reffed at the youth/HS level so he has knowledge there. Clyde is simply my favorite color guy in any sport ever. He actually makes the game more enjoyable for me, his adjectives are so much fun, not to mention he represents the only truly great Knicks era ever. He may be a true old timer but he's so good at bringing the game back to its basics that are timeless.
The 3-point shooting is why I think the Knicks beat Atlanta: If Atlanta single-teams Randle, he will devour them. If they double-team him a lot, the Knicks have 5 ultra-high-quality 3-point shooters Julius can pass to: Barrett, Burks, Bullock, Rose and Quickly, and of course, they have shown a high capacity for quick hockey assists--two rapid passes along the circle to find the open shooter. Can Atlanta handle this? I do not think so.
