That only matters if the Lakers definitely want to play the two seed. There’s no way the Lakers would lose to the 9-10 winner though.

Hawks vs. Knicks should be really interesting. It could go either way. I get the feeling that D Rose is going to have a memorable performance or two in these playoffs, hopefully that's the case.

Warriors vs. either the Lakers or Blazers in the play-ins will be awesome to watch.

I really hope the Wizards beat the Celtics so we see Wizards vs. Nets in the 1st round. That would be a fun series.

I feel good vs. Hawks, though I know Trae will be treated by the refs circa MJ '97.

Rooting for Nuggets or Suns to come out of the West. I hate Utah, Lakers, & Clippers.

Are gonna tolerate quite as much of Trae’s bullshit flopping when the playoffs start, and I think he’s going to be massively surprised he can’t just get touched and fall down and end up at the line. I could even (hopefully) see it being a point of frustration that will get to him and Hawks.

They have barely any playoffs experience so i think they are a perfect matchup for us in round 1. The Heat have a whole recent Finals run-worth of playoff experience and the Bucks have a ton of playoff experience as well so I think this was best case scenario for us in round 1.

Hawks will be tough but any 1st round matchup is going to be tough when you’re right smack in the middle of the bracket.

Yes the Hawks can get hot from 3 but so can we. And The great thing about a 7 game series is you have to stay hot enough the whole series to beat a team better than you, and that rarely happens unless we’re talking about a REALLY good 3 point shooting team like the Warriors teams of past for instance. I’d rather play out our odds in a 7 game series against a team like the hawks that needs to rely on help from the refs and getting lucky from 3 (and who we beat 3 times this season) rather than a team versatile and confident and experienced Miami team who beat US 3 times. We struggle against very good bigs and that type of thing has a higher probability of beating you in a 7 game series than a team who can simply get hot from 3.

if the Hawks can speed up the game, usually in the playoffa games are slower, grind it out type of games. Hawks do not like playing slugfests, they do not have the personnel for it..

Knicks have played that style all season, they are going to wear on you and grind out games, they are used to this style..

If the refs let the Knicks play physical they will have the advantage, if they dont Hawks will..

But I don't relish watching multiple games with Trae Young flopping, diving, bitching and moaning the entire time. Just an awful example of modern pro ball.

Hey just curious if anyone knows the draft values for picks. Let’s assume knicks end up with 20,22 and they will have 32 from Pistons. If they packaged all 3 of those together how far up can they move, probably not top 10, maybe somewhere in 12-15 range.

Obi, Mitch and the 3 picks to Toronto or Sacramento. I know the playoffs should be the focus but I’m just curious if Suggs was sitting there at 5 or 6 do they have the ammo to get him

but either way a top 5 picking team is not trading that pick for 2 late firsts, a second, obi and mitch. I think the idea that the two firsts could maybe move you close to 10, although at that point i dont think its worth it. I could see moving maybe one of the firsts and the second to move up like 5 spots if there is a guy they love.

I do think its more likely that we trade 1 or 2 of our top 3 picks this year. Either in a deal to move up or for a vet, or even future firsts or seconds. This roster doesnt really have room for 3 rookies, plus you might take 3 rookies that dont get any time on the court, not ideal.

I'd be happy to have Trae take the long 3's. The key is keeping him out of the paint. The 2 guys who worry me the most are Bogdanovic who's absolutely been on fire for 6 weeks now and Capela because great offensive rebounding bigs give us fits. I do agree that the usual slower pace of playoff games would give us a big advantage.

They probably draw the Lakers round 1.

Trae Young, before he got hurt and had to leave the game, was getting to whatever spot he wanted with ease no matter who we threw at him (Rose, Quick, Payton). Rose, in particular, was completly overmatched.

If that continues, Thibs needs to dust off Frank and throw him out there. If only to make sure Rose doesn't get in foul trouble.

They should have a doubleheader each night, but make it east-west. I know that means the 7/8 loser and 9/10 winner have to play a back to back but so be it. It will give more juice to finishing 7/8.

he was hurt for a bug chunk of this year but came back pretty strong offensively. That's a big salary but he's still very young and has basically his whole prime ahead of him. Can he defend?

Yep the other 2 games we did a good job on him, but that game he was killing us both penetrating and pushing the ball up the floor. I knew Atlanta was red hot once McMillan got hired but wow the were 36-11 down the stretch. We were 16-4.

Frank should be getting 100% of Elf's minutes. If nothing else for floor spacing. He's not taking many shots but is shooting almost 50% from 3 this year. That plus his defense is a pretty intriguing player.

they are going to have to show on the pick and roll and be able to get back on the 3 point shooters, everyone on defense has tp be on the same page, exactly why Payton should not play he freelances to much

Where the Knicks' two first-round picks will be in the 2021 draft:

— Their own pick will be at No. 19 or 20 overall pick based on who wins the tiebreaker between NY and the Hawks
— Mavericks pick will be between 21 and 23 after a tiebreaker splits up Dallas, Portland, and Lakers
