Not sure how much he has left in the tank
Wow, Time

for new blood. Some team will pick him up as a 3rd down rush specialist.

Where is the link?

I’d take a flier

on him. He’s given the Giants some headaches over the years.
Kerrigan has been my favorite Non-Giants
Rafflee : 5/17/2021 8:19 am : link
He's had a great and WASTED Career with those Bozos! He too less than 400 Snaps last year.... that's about a 40-50% share. 5.5 sacks...13 pressures.... He wants starter snaps/money

I'm interested

I think he could be a valuable vet presence on this team, though it may not be feasible if he wants starter money (assume this means ~$10+ million).
He's been a top tier professional and consistently above average pass rusher for longer than most.

Danny Kanell : 5/17/2021 9:27 am : link
I would absolutely look at him if I were the Giants. He's 32 and only missed 4 games to injury in 10 years. He could be a good situational pass rusher in this defense.

Always liked Kerrigan. Not exactly a high impact player
NYGgolfer : 5/17/2021 9:45 am : link
but moreso a disciplined approach to what he brings to a team. Imagine it won't take long for him to find a new home.

Not all that interested in him for the NYG though at this stage.
if the Giants cut
Giantsfan79 : 5/17/2021 9:46 am : link
Lorenzo Carter (the guy who would lose his spot to Kerrigan) post June 1 they would save $2,183,000. That'd be a good down payment to Kerrigan.
Damn Eagles signing him

Much as I think he’s a really good player
BillT : 5/17/2021 10:07 am : link
I don’t think he’s what the Giants need now. We’ve just added 2 promising edge players and have 2 more coming off IR. We’re not going to the SB this year and Kerrigan just takes snaps from the guys we will need to to be good to get there. He’s a fit for a team that went to the playoffs and wants to add some short term talent to take the next step.
FWIW Pat Kirwan was asked about RK and NYG last week
FranknWeezer : 5/17/2021 10:09 am : link
And he said RK could walk right in and start for us.
The Vikings seem interested in him.
Angel Eyes : 5/17/2021 10:10 am : link
judging by this article; he might be a nice complement to Danielle Hunter after Hunter spent the entire season on IR plus the Vikings losing Yannick Ngakoue to a mid-season trade and Odenigbo to us.

Kerrigan also visited the Bengals a month or so ago.

Makes sense as they have so little talent at LB they will take whatever they can get.

Oh dear. Him and Fletcher Cox getting into the backfield and causing problems...
Was hoping he'd either land with us by some miracle

or outside the East. Nope.
I'm getting Connor Barwin vibes here
Matt in SGS : 5/17/2021 10:58 am : link
but not in a good way for the Eagles. More like when Barwin signed with the Giants and he was done and the Giants stunk. The Eagles are going no where this year, maybe their best hope is Kerrigan plays well enough to trade him for a late round pick. I've said before, this Eagle team is going to give their franchise worst record for most losses a run for its money in 2021. And with an extra game, all the better chance they do it. I see a 4-13 / 3-14 type year for them.

He also maintains that Watt and Kerrigan are really not 60+ snap players any longer but they and their agents are looking for comp as if they are. One group succeeded, the other TBD.
Would anyone be surprised if Washington has

a Top 3 Defense in 2021?

I hate the eagles more than any team in the world (that's what happens when you live in Philthy area for 10+ years).

Them sucking would be great, but I kind of hope they don't suck too bad. Of course I hope we sweep them (for the next 10+ yrs), but with the draft picks they have next yr, would prefer they win about 6-7 games; maybe beat WTF and Dal once or twice, if beneficial (most likely) to Gmen.

Why not NYG? And yes, i'd be surprised. Top 3? People are overrating the Skins around here, like they do just about every year.

Not that you said it but not sure why NYG can't finish top 3 but the skins can. They were neck and neck last season and the Giants swept them.
Damn

I wanted him here. Great dude and great player who has been a thorn in our side forever.

I agree they are probably going nowhere, but they don't have the option of taking the season off — they have to field a team. Kerrigan is a reasonable stop-gap for them while they rebuild. T
