This guy historically is anti-Giant but I find this over the top. He has us picking 7th and also 10th with the Chicago pick. That means he expects us to finish worse than this past season. I don't think there are 25 teams better than us. I honestly feel we have a decent shot at the division and winning 9-10 games. If we pick 7th it is with the Chicago pick not our own.

Unless he feels Giants will move Dexter Lawrence, it makes no sense. The corner he said he feels Giants don't any long term vision with Bradberry or Adoree.
That said: if Giants are picking this early again, I doubt they bypass QB.
I do. If you've lost Josh Edwards, you've lost Middle America!
Damm, Can't believe it's been a decade. Time to start winning again.
Exactly. Yes the team looks good on paper, but until it's shown on the field that paper means nothing
They have Drew Lock/Teddy Bridgewater leading the Broncos to a record that's top third of the league? That's interesting.
Yes, the Giants won two Super Bowls — in years where they squeaked into the playoffs as wild cards. Their one dominant regular season under Coughlin ended in disaster. The Giants have been a consistently mediocre-to-bad regular-season team that periodically rises up, as opposed to Green Bay (for example), a consistently good regular-season team that frequently underachieves in the playoffs. Green Bay gets respect for the regular season wins.
Dallas gets respect for its big regular seasons though they haven't been to a Super Bowl in almost a generation. The Giants don't even though they've been to three in that time and have won two.
That's how it works. I wouldn't even sweat it. If the Gmen go on a run of winning seasons and division titles under Joe Judge, that worm will turn.
Except the mock draft has the Eagles picking at 6, and Washington at 10. And if you think three doormats in the division would give Dallas a commanding record, you'd be wrong. Drafts at 20.
Doesn't make much sense.
Ding ding ding. We have a winner!

Selection order is based on current Vegas odds to win SB. Not a question of the writer’s evaluation.

Maybe they think Aaron Rodgers ends up there...
I think having us picking 7th is generous
Everybody else in the division looks better this year too...so there's that.

what have we earned since 2011?
Ding ding ding. We have a winner!
If that is the case there are a lot of teams that have not earned anything since 1990 let alone 2011.
The Giants NEVER get the benefit of the doubt like other franchises get. Not now. Not in the 80s. Not in the 00s.
When the JEts drafted Darnold and Sanchez they had found their savior. Darnold was still getting love THIS YEAR and nearly everyone defended Darnold to this day that he was just a poor victim of the bad Jets team. Eli was always the problem. Always the overrated little bother of Peyton, even though he was WINNING. Darnold never did one fucking thing right but to this day is still being defended by some. And maybe that is fair, but Eli never received the same leeway. And it was 100% due to the Giants trading up for him.
The media is rarely objective and always agenda driven.
I’m confident that the Giants will be in the hunt for a playoff spot but I understand why some people doubt the team after their performance over the past few years.
Or maybe they just write on BBI...
No edge unless Leal can play 4-3 DE on a consistent basis? Carter and Odenigbo's contracts are up after 2021, we'd likely need some reloading.
Precisely. Start winning and the respect will follow.
Last year is one thing. And last year the Giants were under 500, but they showed progress.
Win and respect will arrive, as earned.
Fans can think differently, if they choose.
Giants will be middle of the pack at worst. The AFC West and NFC South have only 2 really prohibitive teams, the Chiefs and the Bucs, they very well could go 4-2 in the division, then who? The Bears? Rams?
I cant remember all the other teams, but there is every reason for Giants fans to feel disrespected that some clown has them picking 7th overall in 2022.
All they have to do to change perceptions is win. This is the year to start truly turning things around.
The Giants will get respect when they earn it. Stop demanding that people offer their respect to an organization that has been genuinely lousy for a decade.
What we should be worried about is Vegas the over under for us at 7. This numbers shows that A) they don’t have much confidence in the Giants B) we aren’t much better than last season.
Vegas is usually pretty good with this stuff and we shouldn’t be getting out hopes up for a Super Bow appearance.
