Carl certainly doesn't hold anything back, and that's what I love about him.

I've seen some people on BBI be critical of Carl. I'm with you. I'm a big fan.
That was an amazing session with Banks

I always like to listen to Banks talk football. He gives the kind of insider insights that I love. Nice insights on Judge, Graham, some players... really interesting insights into his Giants team, his thoughts as a player from that time. He had no idea he was going to be drafted high, much less the first guy drafted on that day (3rd pick but the other two were "pre-drafted").

Boy, he throws serious gas on two BBI arguments, depending on who listens to this:

Basically he said that a lot of people on the Internet push a constant narrative about something where they have no idea what they are talking about, it just sounds like they do. So, "be very careful what (narratives) you ingest", Banks says. Don't believe someone just because they sound like they have a clue. I assume the implication is, listen to what is said by people in the game (like Banks).

On PFF and analytics... "They are a tool, not a solution". "Football is not a static game, there are variables... when the variables change, the numbers don't hold up." "Numbers don't have a heartbeat, the players have a heartbeat." Basically he says that analytics alone don't define football nor players. Alone they can't drive your decisions - for example play calling; you have to take into account each situation's variables and context.

Another small point he made which I think about from time to time. Regarding Randall Cunningham and a play he once made over Banks... "10 out of 10 QB's don't make that play because Randall was a freak". I totally agree. I hated when we played that guy. I think he is highly underrated as a QB, a football player and an athlete.

I always thought having this talent to push your agenda on others despite actually being clueless was a great way to be successful in life. We should remember this point in Everyone we deal with outside of the internet also.

Its manipulative. LOL.

But Banks is right, people (as an example) write something cause they can and because they have a name people believe them. Its like watching the news: some people actually believe EVERYTHING they hear! LOL

Carl was a great Giant — but he’s also quite a crab and hasn’t been very spot on about the Giants prospects the last several years.

Crab? yeah, kind of he is. I like his game-day analysis and game talk.
