AP was playing at a high level, 7-8 months after ACL surgery. We’re awaiting SB’s contribution but don’t know when or how effective he will be. Surgical results obviously depend on difficulty of the procedure, rehab, etc..
But yes, Procedures performed today are infinitely better/more advanced than 10-20 years ago..
RE: except Carter never dominated before he was hurt
Of course I’m not comparing them as players, KD is a top 10 all time player, Carter isn’t even top 10 DE in the NFC.
The point is just that Achilles injuries aren’t what they used to be and maybe Carter will be able to come back near his old self. Some forget that he was playing pretty well right before he got hurt.

have been plenty of players to fully recover from Achilles and ACL injuries, and there have been plenty who never regained their form.
We'll know soon enough
The scale is so tipped to guys that do it’s sitting on ground when age is in their favor. My only real worry with Saquon is his style of play and how absolutely elite his lateral agility is for a man his size.
It looked like he was gonna have a solid yr last yr and his potential is a better than average ER/OLB
Basically a 6 out of ten Works for me as a solid rotation piece who may be able to bring some pass rush

Our edge rushers suck too. Who do we have that's better than a healthy Carter?
You heal up in a few months and you're back.

Carter was an average player at best before his injury.
How is it an NFT, officer?

That said, it's going to be tougher for him to shine given the new competition. I do wonder if NYG will consider moving him inside?
