I remember parking my car at the Vienna Metro Station and moving at a brisk pace to get to the train. I was weaving back and forth so I did not walk in a straight line. It was a scary situation.
I also had an internship in Silver Spring at the time. We were told to park our cars and walk in a zig zag pattern to not allow for a clear shot. It was a wild time, and I incurred about $1,500.00 in tickets on campus for parking illegally right next to the building where my class was on a particular day.
Was in Kansas at the time so I was never worried but I recall thinking that you might see a ton of copy cats in the future because it was so hard to catch these guys. Thankfully I was wrong.

I used to live near that Home Depot in Falls Church where someone was shot. It was just a crazy scary thing to live through. There is a great podcast by WTOP about all of it. I didn't know about this show, I'll def check it out.

The home depot is where the female FBI agent got killed. That's when everyone thought it was something more coordinated then just two random guys. I lived close to there as well. In Ballston. I used to bob and weave my way to the car every day. Definitely a tense time.
