trying to slide between a person's legs with his lack of agility is probably harder to do that Chris Farley fitting into a small jacket without destroying the fucking seams!

It would have been outstanding.
He was better off doing the "BEES, BEES, BEES! defense. Sliding between Donaldson's legs?
These things are good: ice cream and cake, a ride on a Harley, seeing monkeys in the trees, the rain on my tongue and making Miguel Sano my Fucking cunt bitch.
at calling a game there is. Sano sitting dead red and swinging through sliders/breaking balls and Gary calls for FBs. Show Sano one and go right back to the curve. Green had good control of it tonight.
I honestly fell asleep. They lost? Ugggh. Fuck it.
Fell asleep too. Sounds like the 9th was a good miss
Chapman has been the most dominant he’s ever been all season long before last night. He blew one. It happens. Hope just an aberration.
Still, I can feel the trolls gathering in the ladies room as we speak to come enlighten us all with tales of how Chapman sucks. And it’s all Cashman’s fault. And probably Chris Mara’s too.

Consider this a pre-emptive shhh
Certainly not a troll but what happened last night definitely bears keeping an eye on. Had Chapman been beat by guys catching up to his 100 mph+ fastball like Devers did a couple of years ago, I’d just tip my cap and dismiss it as the other guys were better in that spot.
Last night however he was only throwing 95 and got smacked around pretty good. The smacking around doesn’t really concern me as it happens, but the 95 is something I’m interested to see if it was a one off or something more troubling and don’t think it’s trolling to wonder why that’s all he could throw last night.

He has been down last few outings compared to start. I think he slows down to try and control the ball when he doesn't have it, yet. FWIW, I think him coming out with two straight sliders was a mistake.

Certainly a little concerning...and you’re one of the best Yankee posters here, not at all the troll I had in mind. You know the type, no show on Yankee threads for a month, then appear magically to say I told you so when they have a bad game or a bad week
Bigger picture...non of these guys played or pitched a full season last year, I’d expect a lot of guys on every team will have their dead arm periods.
Just hoping it’s only that, and not a sign of injury
they were leading the entire game, and Chapman does that.
Maybe he thought he was pitching in October, just embarrassing to blow that game!
Quirky schedule, off on Friday, that's very strange.

I just watched the highlights again, the pitch to Donaldson
was only 95 MPH, the one to Cruz was 98. Just bad location
to good hitters had more to do with it.

Yeah and I think the hits were 95 as well. I know 98 is still up there and seems a bit funny for me to question when a guy can still get it up there like that but I’m so used to seeing him really crank it, and topping 100 it seems more times than not this year.
Probably as Section mentioned, he was struggling with location and that was the reason he dropped some velocity in order to throw strikes. Just sucked it happened to be against really good fastball hitters, and even with the lower velocity his location still being off set them up nicely to tag him.
Seriously. I haven’t seen the record lately, but I think we’re still playing about .800 ball in Minnesota since about the Showalter era
It would have been outstanding.

I mean. Haha. That's just an amazing call.
Bringing Green in to face Sano is not my idea of a smart strategy..
All you do is bitch and whine. Ever.

No, I won't fuck you. Stop sucking up.
Some people get the worst i've got for a reason.
No Celestino for you.
I'm just glad he has a cannon to make up for his tepid approach to tracking balls over his head.
Yes, but he is learning quickly. Some of his angles are bad. OF is not that hard to learn. He has a 3B arm, so it should be strong. Nice play.

Amen. It's a weird hill to die on blasting Green and Luetge this year.
Calls that bad, this often, are guaranteeing they are putting themselves out of the important parts of their job very soon.

Chappie grooved that one and Donaldson didn't miss.
Cruz did the same.
That was suboptimal.
7-5
Last three (homer,single,homer) were grooved.
Very odd.
And now we know who to blame for the collapse.

They pounded some balls right at the OF last night. Not their night to win.
