It is being reported by Empire Sports Media that the Knicks are one of the teams interested in Pacers C Myles Turner.
This would make some sense as Turner is a rim protector and an offensive threat. The lack of Gibson/Noel being an offensive threat was definitely a detriment in the Hawks series. Of course, the cost could be prohibitive as Indiana is tough to deal with.

NBA referees will be trained to properly officiate the following actions used to draw fouls:
- Shooter launches/leans into defender at abnormal angle
- Shooter kicks leg at abnormal angle
- Offensive player abruptly veers off path (sideways/ backwards) into defender
For whatever reason, the last one bothers me the most. (If you get a guy off the ground, I'm ok leaning into him to shoot, because in that case I feel like it's a good basketball play that you got him to jump and you can try for the reward.) The random moving in all directions to create fouls just bugs me more.

That and using the off arm to hook the defender and make it look like he grabbed you..
The guy jumping me in the air obly bothers me when the defender jumpa straight up and the offensive player jumpa forward into him, that is not a foul..
What Trae Young and Harden do is not basketball
Not just here but anywhere. If there was no money in this sort of content, they wouldn't be shoveling it out.
Totally agree. Which is why I find the self-serving nature of the complaints to be ridiculous. Personally, I enjoy being occasionally silly and doing some Benny Hill level stuff but I don't turn around and pretend to be a host of Masterpiece Theater and look down my nose at ESPN and company for indulging the masses when we're part of the problem too.
/ rant
They need to retroactively adjust Reggie Millers' career numbers as well

It's interesting because at least in that list of 3 things they're cracking down on, it sounds some of the things Durant and Harden do at least in the way of swinging their arms upward and catching the defender's arm will possibly still be called a foul. Which I think is okay as long as the shooting motion is natural. My question is does "shooter launches at an abnormal angle" include the launching of his arms? Or just his entire body? We do many times see it way over done where a guy swings his arms literally 2 feet out to the side of his body to catch the defender's arm as though anyone has ever attempted a jump shot with that motion-- I will that will count as "launching at an abnormal angle."
My number 1 concern was the fact that Trae Young is literally able to just jump into a defender while running down the court and it's automatically a foul. That's actually exactly what happened in the last minute of game 1 that gave the Hawks the game-- Barrett played solid defense IMO and Trae literally just jumped sideways into him and got the call, hit the foul shots and that was the game. What was RJ supposed to do in that situation exactly? It was disappointing because the refs had laid off the whistles all game and then with less than a min to go THAT's when they decide to make that call and decide the game???
My other question is: the Knicks reviewed that play, if it were to be reviewed again, could it be determined Trae jumped at an "abnormal" angle and the call could be reversed? They couldn't reverse the call in game 1 because there technically was "contact" but it was clear to everyone with eyes that the refs completely fucked up making that call then and there.
I love Dinwiddie's game. I hope we sign him. The only thing is he talked shit about the Knicks... multiple times. Which kinda pisses me off but I have to imagine he might change his tune after the season the Knicks just had. He's lived in the area for like 6 years, if the Nets don't keep him I wonder how interested he is in staying in NY.
Dinwiddie talks Knicks - ( New Window )
They need more depth so that Harden, Kyrie and Durant dont have to play 48 minutes in the playoffs
I'm somewhat pumped for the lottery tonight. It's a stupid thing to be excited for, but I always find it to be good TV.

100% agreed theyd probably sweep atlanta to..
I am too, no neeves, i am interested to see which team lands where because then you can start seeing spots to trade up
but of course haha
I'm a sootsayer, Haha.
I could see Zion being first dude turning down max. The Athletic reported last week that his friends/family are unhappy, nobody in LA cares about the Pels, & the team isn't well run.
Lol. Poor bastard
It seems like there's a clear top 5, but I bet that gets you to the 2nd tier at 6-9.
Cooper at 6'3 -- if true -- really does change things about his game. He still can't shoot a lick but if he's there at 19 he does enough other things well that it is worth considering.
We need guards with quicks and skills. Either Christopher for the athleticism and upside or Mann for the scoring, creating. Mann reminds me of a smaller SGA.
I could see the Knicks packaging both #19 and #21 to move up to the Spurs spot at #12 and nabbing someone they deemed to have "fallen out of" the top 10-- I saw a mock draft yesterday that had us doing that and it made sense-- they had us taking Bouknight there. Maybe that could be Davion Mitchell for the reason you just mentioned about his height.
I don't know much about Mann. How does he compare to the other 2 names I just mentioned? I saw someone here say they don't see much difference between the #20 and #6 player, is Mann worth waiting for at #19 and then we grab an extra guy at #21? Or maybe if we do stay put then we see a trade like Robinson + #21 for someone (idk maybe Myles Turner).
If we do draft a PG we believe is the guy of the future I'd still like to sign Lowry and Rose for a year to tag team at PG while the young dude develops.
Either that, or he's trying to be too damned smart.
F the Clippers.
Is Keon Johnson better than Josh Christopher? Who knows? Bouknight better than Mann? Who knows?
I really like Cooper tho, measuring 6-3 may propel him out of our range.
Those reviews ruined a great game. They simply cannot go to the monitor after every play. It’s become unwatchable. I’d rather they miss a call than completely destroy the flow of the game. Needs to be fixed.
What I don't like is the free timeouts that come as a result of the replays. It's a huge strategic advantange to the team with possession. Are the Suns able to run a play like that if they don't have 5 minutes to draw it up? That play might have just decided the series.
