It is being reported by Empire Sports Media that the Knicks are one of the teams interested in Pacers C Myles Turner.
This would make some sense as Turner is a rim protector and an offensive threat. The lack of Gibson/Noel being an offensive threat was definitely a detriment in the Hawks series. Of course, the cost could be prohibitive as Indiana is tough to deal with.
I still can’t believe anyone picked the Bucks in this series before it started (I.e. before any of the Big 3 were injured). Nets could very well end up winning this series having had only 1.5 or 2 of their stars on the court for all but 43 seconds of game 1.

Got lame AF dry wedding Saturday that kicks off at 530 & ends at 830. This Game 7 is a great excuse to leave early. Wife will understand when I treat her out next day.

Batman don't do that
hate to burst your bubble but knicks are not adding 3 rookiez
horrible trade you traded 1 bad contract for another and traded out of the 1st in a deep draft
All that said i think Al fits better since BOS has Brown and tatum and really dont need another ball dominant player. Horford can do more to help the team. OVerally dont love it, but i dont think its an awful trade.
I actually like it for the Celtics.

Boston could have gotten a nice young guard to pair with tatum and brown..
you also coukd of waited until the draft
Going back two years, I still don't know what Philly was thinking giving Horford that huge deal.
I'm a UConn fan and i'm not huge on Bouknight. I don't love him for the NBA
save more like 6 million and it doesnt give them any room under the cap

and now you moved it, saved $10 million in cap space, and got back a guy you like (even if he’s ancient).

It’s still money you’re not spending on a guy you don’t want on your team anymore. (Also a guy who people didn’t think could be moved.) Now it’s time to move Marcus Smart and Tristan.

but why do it now? they didnt HAVE to move kemba, you could of waited
but you basically painted yourself into a corner with this trade, you have to resign fournier, you have to trade thompson, you are not resigning smart and you are not adding a young player..
you are basically saying this is our team
The alternative, if keeping Kemba around isn’t an option, was giving away even more picks or some of the young players on their roster whose value is questionable at the moment.

that is the million dollar question is there something that happened that forced the celtics to trade him now
Knicks dont have to match salary
Quote:
Is it possible for Knicks to trade for a guy like Lillard with his 43 Million dollar salary next year and make the salaries close enough without including both Toppin and RJ? Is it doable?
Knicks dont have to match salary
Thanks ny I tried the trade simulator on ESPN and it wouldn't work without including RJ's 8 mill.

because they are still using this tears cap
General rule: if you want to be considered a sports expert, pretend that you actually know something.
Toppin is no superstar either, but he could provide reasonable value a) on a Knick team not nearly so reliant on Randle playing league-high minutes, or b) on another team substantially lacking at the 4. With Toppin's size, strength, speed, outside shot and leaping ability, he could add value to a a number of teams who are weak at the 4.
Toppin's defensive weaknesses were not nearly as bad as initially thought, and he has offensive capabilities that he can only optimize by playing more. I can easily envision him ending up with a really kickass 10-foot bank shot, for example, along with an interior jump shot, and the ability to move without the ball that most 4's don't have.
Of course, to show all of that, he would have to be traded, or Thibs would have to be convinced that Randall playing 30-32 minutes a game is better for the team over the course of a season. If that happens, Toppin might have considerably more trade value a year out than he has now.

Over the next 6 drafts (2021-2026) they have 18 1sts and 17 2nds.
Over the next 7 drafts (2021-2027) they have 19 1sts and 21 2nds.
This Philly/Atlanta series is just super intriguing to me for some reason. I agree Atlanta definitely smells blood in the water after that embarrassing collapse by the Sixers. But it’s just interesting that it feels like the Sixers have essentially been the better team for 15 or 16 of the 20 quarters in the series and yet they’re down 3-2. I still say they’re the better team with the more favorable matchups. They can erase all of this bad juju of the last 2 games if they just play 4 solid quarters of basketball tonight. It’s gonna be tough to have short memories and every basket Philly scores to take a lead is gonna feel like it could evaporate at any second. That said— pressure is on Atlanta and they’re a super young team and; they need to close this out tonight. Making it to the ECF is suddenly a pretty big deal— are they ready to seize a major opportunity like that? Got my popcorn ready.
All that said — I’ll admit I secretly wish that when the Knicks were down in games 3 thru 5 they could’ve played with half the intensity and resolve the Hawks played with in the last two games’ 2nd halves vs. the 6ers. Everyone except Rose and Taj seemed to just have that same sad defeated look on their faces once the Hawks went on one of their little runs in the 2nd or 3rd quarter. I guess the ability to snap out of that shit comes with more playoff experience.
Wow, that's pretty surprising tbh. I'd absolutely bundle 19, 21 and 32 to move to 8 or higher.
If his family is saying it, it is really hin saying it, he is not going to come out and say that, he uses his family..
Nktice not a peepe from him denying it..
3 coaches in 3 years, mismatched roster and one of hsi favorite players to play with will probabky not be on the team
