As usual, the SEC stands tall with Ark, Miss State, Vandy, LSU, Ole Miss, Tenn.
ECU is a pretty good team. So I am looking forward to see how they deal with Vandy's big two - Leiter and Kumar.
ND can really hit. Should be a good one with them and Miss St.
My son has played against a few of these freshmen who are shining this year. Keep an eye on Kyle Teel (NJ) of UVA. Tremendous left handed hitter who is a very competent catcher and a good corner OF, too.

Former Wahoo. UVA had a super exciting Regional, coming out of the losers bracket. Great pitching, not a lot of offense. UVA reliever Stephen Schoch is the most entertaining reliever since the Mad Hungarian.

He is a free spirit. Love his mid-high 70s slider.
The performance by Neeck in the first game against ODU was unbelievable. I think he struck out 15 in 6 innings...ODU struck out like 20+X in 9 innings.
If UVA hits, they could win the whole thing. If Kent and Newell can get hot - they just had down years (especially Newell) - that would help significantly.
They've been on the ropes over and over and just keep surviving. This is a team that was 4-12 in the conference not too long ago. Neeck's performance in relief against ODU was one of the most remarkable pitching performances I've ever seen at any level.
If they can advance to Omaha after dropping the first game in both the regional and the Super, that would be unbelievable.
It's not every day you see a team win a series in which they were outscored 28-11. Wow. Arkansas didn't drop a single series all year in the brutal SEC, and now they're going home. Love this tournament.

Kyle Teel just hit a big 2-out grand slam in the 7th today when down 2-1 to give UVA its first lead of the game and help them punch their ticket to Omaha
No big deal, just another late inning, two-out comeback to earn a ticket to Omaha. This team is amazing. Pitching has been lights out and the lineup has come through in big spots.

I watched it, too. Teel is a lot of fun to watch. He's just a baseball player. Seems to really love the game.
Did you see that throw he made from right field on the DBU kid going for the double? Teel threw a laser to Kent and the ump called the runner out. But it went to replay and they overturned it. But it was still an incredible play.

And Arkansas went with Klopps the entire game. He's been their closer all year and is going to win the Golden Spike Award this year. So he showed some real guts starting a game for the first time all year and going the distance.
The NC State bullpen is really, really good.
Funny thing is that Brian O'Connor keeps lifting Teel for a defensive
plays Vandy tonight at 7pm. Jack Leiter is going for Vandy. He's Al's kid and projected to be a top five draft choice in a few weeks.
Not a big kid. While he throws hard, he looks to be a pretty crafty pitcher.
I have seen Leiter pitch a few times this year. Vandy is so tough because they are built perfect for these tournaments.
Vandy definitely have the most talent in the country from pitching to hitting to defense. But I expect NC State to give them a real run tonight. They play good D, can hit and I really like their bullpen with Justice and Villaman. My son played against Villaman a few years ago. He's a tough lefty who can bring it almost effortlessly.
Unless Arizona comes back they will be eliminated.
That Vandy loss took some life out of Zona. They scored early off Kumar and had control over that game. But their bullpen let them down in the 7th inning.
I'm rooting for Vandy. Not the way you want to advance. NC State played with lots of heart and got great pitching outings. It really sucks for them, but if you are going to not get vaccinated, you better avoid the virus. NC state was subject to testing and Vandy players were not as they are all vaccinated.
All of our games were super intense. I'm kind of glad they aren't playing anymore. LOL
The Vandy whistler needs to be brought out back and shot.
nice!

Came here to say the same thing:
How do Vandy fans even put up with this clown? Needs a pillowcase and some bars of soap.

any Vandy game that I happen to watch it put on mute.

Arkansas is a beast right now.
I almost went out to Omaha back when they won it all in 2015

2 more games today including Greg's UVA squad.
Good luck to all!
The CWS is on my bucket list. And it helps that I like Omaha. Have to book my Hilton res now though.

This was a game when UVA needed to have Bales available. He had a great year. Don't know what his injury is...
I am rooting for Stanford to win.
But a walk, an infield hit, a hard single and then, inexplicably, a wild pitch that hits the backstop leads to a 6-5 Vandy win.
Incredible.
JFC - great call. Those whistlers are the worst. It makes watching the game with the sound on torture.
Reminds me of the 2010 World Cup when the fans started using those vuvuzelas.
I am a little surprised Avent went with Matt Willadesen today. I suppose he wants to save the aces for tomorrow.
Unreal.
What a mess.
