Looks like he took the offseason seriously. Logan Ryan's got these guys locked in. If McK is an impact player on top of everything else they have....wow. He reminds me of a young Kenny Phillips.
Listening to recent interviews, it sounds like Graham is using lots of 3 Safety looks.
Robbie: Limited! That’s kind of cryptic. What do you mean?
Certainly. A lot of fans are hoping this expensive AJax deal pays dividends and that Logan Ryan can keep it together as well.
How nice would it be if this Secondary can rise up to the expectations...

His true value is in his leadership and to be a player like RW McQuarters or Sam Madison were for the 2007 unit. I like that we have Peppers, McKinney, and Love there along with him.

He's physically not the same player he was. It's natural. He's a very heady player but his physical skills are diminishing. I'm not saying he's not productive. Madison and McQuarters were still productive but he isn't a long term answer. I'm saying while his physical attributes are getting worse he is still in the NFL for his brain and leadership and I'm glad he's around to help out the young secondary.

Physically limited? Based on what?
Nobody is bent out of shape. Just amazed that from your recliner you can declare a player finished. So he isn't a CB, neither was Antrelle Rolle.

Way to be a douche. Did I say finished? Try reading it again and stop being an asshole.
Cousin who writes for Athlon Sports for SEC...he thought Xavier was going to be a stud in the pros.

Lol, we need the season to start soon. People are getting restless around here.
But, enough of that. The whole point was that we have a great blend of vets and young players in the secondary and at safety. I'm glad guys like McKinney can feed off of Ryan's knowledge of the game. That was the point of the post. Having a guy who has had success at outside corner, inside corner, and safety and having all that experience is invaluable. Not sure why we couldn't focus on that.

I'm being the asshole and a douche? Maybe you should try reading your own posts.

Ryan is following in the steps of some damn good corners in this league who transitioned to free safety and extended their career. I absolutely love the Giants safety group.

When did he declare him finished? lol Always love checking in on BBI in the offseason.

It's not that he is being a douche. It's just that he doesn't want you saying anything bad about his team.

In all honesty, this secondary has a shot at being Top 3 in the league if it stays healthy and plays up to speed. I firmly believe that especially if Bradberry and Jackson have shutdown years and Peppers is the player he was for the last 2/3 of last year for 16 games. Ryan will be solid, above average, and a guy like McKinney can make us shutdown good as a 3rd safety/slot corner type who also attacks the LOS.
If we get average pass rush production along with an above average secondary and superb run stuffing, this defense has a shot at Top 8 in the league which is top quarter.

Logan Ryan was a borderline Pro Bowler last year. Any commentary about him being limited based on 3 OTAs is silly

"Thou shalt not be even somewhat critical of anything NY Giants"
Anyone who wants to ask why 9&10? Because the Giants aren't cutting any of Bradberry, Jackson, Holmes,Robinson, Williams, Peppers, McKinney or Ryan.
With Martinez in the middle and a competent D line, I'm not sure what opposing offense are supposed to do.

Yes, by all means. Round up everybody that doesn't fall in line...

This secondary can be special if the young guys develop and they stay healthy. We have a nice blend of veteran talent and youth.
We really do. You keep 10 guys in the secondary and 9&10 are Love and Yiadom? That's the absolute bottom of the Barrel, Love and Yiadom? 2 young fit healthy guys with experience. Find me someone who thinks either has peaked. This is your worst 2 players in the secondary, who had 76 tackles between them last year.

I wouldn’t say that Holmes is a sure thing, but a healthy McKinney along with our additions this offseason make for a strong secondary on paper. It remains to be seen if that translates to wins because of the NFL’s anti-defense stance.

Just to let you know the team has been "Miserabe" for a long time. Have you missed that? When are they going to stop telling us they are good and instead show us?
"The money" is on a 7-10 record.
