issue with C's is even when they aren't dinged (which is often), their days off tend to be true days off. You won't see a team say "day off for Francisco Alvarez) and then have him play 1b. So you're looking at best case about 100 games played. They are already talking up moving Harry Ford off of C in part because of this.
As Rojas went on to note, he instructed Jeff McNeil to play some outfield on his rehab assignment with High-A Brooklyn in order to be ready to move around once he returns to the big-league club. As of Tuesday, McNeil's rehab assignment has been moved to Triple-A Syracuse.
The Mets will have a bit of a log jam in the infield upon McNeil's return, and while Rojas said he will still get the bulk of the playing time at second base, guys are going to need to be able to play other positions in order for everyone to receive regular playing time. McNeil is expected to see time in left field once he is activated.

Yeesh.. look I like Villar and all as a gritty player who does the right things..but McNeil when he is right is an All Star bat. I don't like the idea of messing with his playing time.

Tyler Glasnow just went off about the midseason crackdown. He stopped using sunscreen a couple starts ago and felt sore afterwards due to difficulty with grip. Same last night. Says it contributed to his current injury. He’s hopeful to be back at the end of the season.
Substance that lets these dudes control the ball but doesn’t create the obvious recent spin rates. They could have done that prior to the season and this all would be a non issue. We will never know but their decision to deaden the ball seems to have gone too far and no they are freaking out that pitchers are “too good”.
Good points on the other catchers.

I was going to say we’ve figured out the Unsolved Mystery of who faces deGrom, but that’s Robert Stack. Not Stock
