But if they do that, I fear nothing will change and they'll still be shitty. The only way this gets completely fixed is if they lose as much as possible, imo.
Cashman seems to have a lifetime contract, Hal is the captain of a rudderless ship manned by pocket protector-wearing pencil neck Fuckwads, Poon is a lifeless puppet and the coaching staff is comprised of has beens and never will bes.
I don't want them to win, because if they do they will still be shitty. Does that mean that you want them to lose a lot, so that they will be really good?
Meanwhile, I really think that Boone, to the extent that he isn't fired, should get some lessons on managing pro players from Thibodeau. The latter would quickly get rid of stupid baserunners and stupid coaches, while putting the fear of god and a sense of pride in whomever is left. Then Steinbrenner Jr. and Cashman need to understand that when your talent collapses, letting it stay collapsed is more expensive than going out and buying some new talent--salary caps notwithstanding. If the Yankees continue to suck, both attendance and TV headcounts will collapse.
I'm totally conflicted. I want them to win, for sure. But I don't think they will. So I'm sort of ok if they lose a ton with the caveat that they make major changes. I have no confidence in the current iteration of the team.
I think he should be 2 for 4, with at least 3 RBI and a walk. One of the hits will be a HR. He must wake up salivating on days they play the Yankees. I can't believe there's not a "book" on how to pitch to this guy.

blamed his injury on not being able to use whatever substance he was using prior to the crackdown.
Wow. That takes some balls.
Yup, and he’s got a point. He said they were assured this season would be business as it had been and any changes would come after the season.
He also said he pitched fine without his sunscreen/rosin combo which non of the 36 player reps had a problem with pitchers using but woke up the next day sore in places he didn’t even know he had a muscle and it never improved all week.
Went on to say he was gripping the shit out of the ball on both his heater and curve when before the crackdown he would hold the ball like an egg. Now it was deeper in his hand and had to really dig in and grip it, and felt it contributed to his injury.
Yup. It's ridiculous at this point. Balloon Head is such a sycophant boot licker. And Cone pretty much sucks with all his analytics Bullshit. Tired of them both.
Way off on balls that should be leaving park. Hard to figure out. I just don’t know if you can count on him. I would take my chances with Stanton vs Judge in a big situation at this time.
we had the Cash "State of the Yanks address', yipeee kayee.
Just hard to buy into this team, didn't put the game on
until the 6th inning. In all honesty, had a long siesta.
At the very least we saw a pinch runner come in who promptly stole a base and a pinch hitter drive him in. In a very small way, the Yanks manufactured a run. Not something we've seen a lot of. I'm curious, however, if the analytics called for the moves or if Boone actually decided to manage the situation.
The Jays offense is really hot right now. Monty could get lit up.
Agree

They're 24-5 in their last 29 games.
That includes the 2-2 split with the Yanks at the
Stadium, so they've gone 22-3 against the rest of the league.
If it seems like they never lose lately, they haven't.
Wow. That takes some balls.
Leave it to the Yankees to draft the wrong Bichette.
Nice start from DJ.

I didn’t know Montgomery was going to take this literally.

But holy shit, nothing is easy with these guys.
Gotta win tomorrow. Need streaks and series wins.
Yanks just rolled in a tanker trunk of Spider Tack (clear version), so I think we're good, Mike.

Can we please get an easy one with Cole tomorrow? Pretty please?

If you want to see 'solid fundamental baseball',
a good idea...is to NOT watch the Yanks play baseball.
They don't seem to have a clue what that is.
