seeks contract extension, per report.
Seattle has to extend him. They traded a ton for him.
I assume that he will be the highest paid safety, which would put him over 16 mil per year?
He and the Seahawks reportedly agreed to table any talks of a potential extension during the trade that that sent safety Bradley McDougald, a 2021 first-round, a 2021 third-round pick and a 2022 first-round pick to the New York Jets in exchange for Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick.

Time to pay up Seattle....
Seahawks' Jamal Adams expected to be minicamp holdout as he seeks contract extension, per report - (

Was awful at the time, and even worse now that he's holding out.
I still wouldn't pay him what he feels he's worth.

Naa, he's a great player, no reason to diminish that. The question is when is the rest of it override his play?
Now after 1 year,Jamal Adams wants to get married.
He's entering his 5th year option year. He has no security beyond this season. Why wouldn't he want to fight to get a deal done now? The Srahawks made a big investment in him in terms of picks, that should signal they want him around for awhile. So get a deal done.

A great safety by any means, but definitely an asset to a defense.

He's a beast rushing the QB. But you going to be worried about him down the field in coverage? He wants top dollar.

He's a playmaker playing on a pretty weak defense so what he isn't great at will look worse. I'd take him in a heartbeat (though I wouldn't trade two 1sts + a massive contract for him).
Paying top dollar for a safety on its own doesn't bother me. Its a fairly cheap position and his production there more than pays for itself. Its the picks that are the issue but what's done is done for Seattle.
