Tuned in at the start the other night and heard the great, classic voice of Bob Sheppard doing the usual YES Network intro when they come on the air, and the very next voice to come on is Kay’s.
We went from Hall Of Fame great to sack of shit lame in a matter of seconds. Talk about a letdown.

at a sweep tomorrow with King going up against TJ Zeuch. Plus, King will definitely have a TON of family and friends from Rochester in the stands. Gotta jump out early.
of our acquaintance is essentially the hottest hitter in baseball right now?
Nah, let’s not jinx it. If you believe you’re winning because you’re getting laid...or you’re not getting laid...or because you wear women’s underwear...then you are! Never fuck with a winning streak.
When Gary Sanchez screws up he is often featured poorly in their headlines and their articles on the game. Today following another solid game and plays at the plate and in the field--a brief mention in an article about Chapman--at least in the online version. Guess everyone has their whipping boy and while Sanchez has certainly earned his criticism at times, he should be given some love for his effort and determination this year.

He played only 1 1/2 innings. Yes biggest HR and it was reported. The biggest takes on the game were Cole pitching well without stickum and Chapman almost blowing the game. In that part it was reported he made a good throw to nail Vlad Jr...
But almost as big as the nuke he hit last night was the way he caught the 9th. Obviously the throw we knew he could do, but I love the way he was blocking pitches in the dirt. That weird foul tip play had to be tipped. No way he could have reacted that quickly to the ump getting hit had he flat out missed it.
Cole Pitches a Great Game., Sanchez with a Big HR...

Keep up the good work, fellow diehards.
I'd be tempted to start Chad Green as an opener for the series finale and then bring in King to piggyback. King seems to have trouble in the first inning, so why not let Green face the heart of the lineup first and then bring in King.

Yet 99% of the game thread is bitching and moaning.
Yeah and the 9th inning was electric as well. Funny the way the world is reacting to the Yanks this year you'd think they were 10 games under.500 in mid September. We're over.500 in mid June for christ sake. Listen maybe we go nowhere this year, its entirely possible. However we just had a stretch where went 14 games over .500 in under a month. We have another stretch like that we'd been in solid shape. I do think we need a big bat off the trade market. I don't trust Voit to ever stay healthy. Frankly I've always said I'd love to see them make a run at Story, move Gleyber to 2nd and DJ to 1st. Voit would find ab's. Between Gio, Stanton, Judge etc... someone is always missing time hurt.

100% about his catching in the 9th. Chapman threw some wonky sliders and changes, and Gary blocked them to give Chapman the chance to escape.
Credit where due, we won bc of Gary last night. Hope he keeps it going

Yes, while he did miss the "tipped" ball, other than that he was solid. He looked like he wanted to be there. I liked he and Cole talking in the dugout.
The hitting was a mystery. The guy can flat out hit. Perhaps the change to a shortened front foot step has sped up the bat.
Thought the same thing. That was suspect.
(Not really.)

Hahaha. That's funny.
Need one or two insurance runs here.
Odor with a great night. Another productive and encouraging AB.
I think I would take Cole in the 9th(tonight) over Chapman.

He's really climbing up my all-time shit list.
Manager of the Year shit right there.
Cole was pitching angry.
Infuriating.
Lucky.
Infuriating.
Lucky.
They teach you how to deal with that in Little League. Sigh,
Dominican, to Puerto Rican to Cuban....
Game ball to Sanchez who mashed one and made a great throw to get Guerrero at 3rd.
Another one that shows me my cardiologist is top notch!
We all expect them to be better than they’ve shown but at this point I’ll take the W and hope they start stacking them.
Keep up the good work, fellow diehards.
