and looks like it has demoralized his teammates. 12 for 39 in this series. 4 for 14 tonight. 10 for 28 in the Washington series. Inexplicably bad for a starting caliber NBA player, not to mention overall #1 pick.
needs to be traded. There's no coming back for this guy in Philly, he needs to go elsewhere. If Lillard wants out, Simmons is probably the best they're going to do as far as a player in return.

Lillard/Embiid can win a title
Such a unique player and I'm a big fan of his. But I don't care how good you are at everything else- you have to shoot the ball on the offense. I believe he only took 2 shots in the 2nd half last night. And has only taken shot in the 4th quarter in all of the games this series. That is inexcusable.
He's never going to be a gunner but he has to put up shots. You simply cannot play offense in the NBA like that. Its honestly worse than having a defensive liability on the floor. They are in trouble.
Simmons doesn't have to be a lights out shooter, but he has to have the threat of making a shot. Right now, you can leave him unguarded from 12 ft out and know he won't want to take a shot.
but Trae Young is making me a huge fan of his. His already a big time player.
Including my household, I'm a rare breed of Knicks fan in that I don't have a big problem with Atlanta at all. Frankly they are fun to watch when they're not playing us. You have to give Trae a ton of credit. He's probably been the MVP of the playoffs so far, at least in the East for sure.
That would be bad from the trey line. Sixers will have to blow it up if they lose this series. Simmons and Embiid are just a terrible match, they are the anti-spacers.
Simmons as part of a package for Lillard or Beal would be a great deal for Philly, but I would think Portland and DC get better offers. For all of his talent, Simmons is an absolute liability offensively.
He'll be fun to watch for years to come. It would have been nice if he was available a couple of years ago when the Knicks had the third pick instead of having to settle for RJ.
Simmons is just too limited offensively to be a plus NBA player and his trade value is questionable IMO. I don't think he can be the centerpiece of a trade that gets you someone like Lillard or Beal.
there's no denying he's a really good player, especially given his size - nothing seems to faze him. When he came out of college I didn't think his game would translate that well to the NBA, but I was wrong.
That said, some choke job by Philly. I can't remember the last time a home team in a crucial playoff game gave up a 20+ lead in the 3Q.
can't stand the Hawks but you're right....meltdown
Lillard/Embiid can win a title
...a complete offensive liability come nut crunching time. Can the dude make a FT?

He’s great for the sport.
lol.
lol.
That is inexcusable. And pathetic.
Philly needs to make a move,at least one

Pulling down $35M and he goes 2-11, four points in 38 minutes. Never even got to the FT line.
Embiid and Curry were pretty much the whole show for the Sixers last night and when you're relying on two guys, things can go south in a hurry.
