Detroit won the Cade sweepstakes.
Toronto hitting the 4th spot they get to draft their replacement for Lowery.
It will be interesting to see if the Knicks can package picks and move up and if they even want to?
Hopefully a PG slips down in range of the Knicks.
Will GS trade 7 and 14 for a Vet to help them win now or build for post Curry?
Less than a month to the draft and rumors are flying around.
Paul is opting out and resigning. Rumors of other teams are to drive up the price for PHO, IMO.

Early exits for Brooklyn and Philly, Hawks get beat (eventually), and now CP3 or Giannis gets a legacy changing title. Worked out pretty well after the Knicks’ no-show in round one.
The Knicks just couldn't figure that out.
Bucks are the East reps in the finals - I have no problem with that.
The finals will be interesting. Actually, if the Knicks hadn't revived this year I'd probably have no interest, but now I'm thinking about the Knicks as a playoff team again next year (which I think they'll be).
I could see PHX not want to do that long of a deal at max money.
They have a lot of youth to pay over the next couple of years.
The Knicks will be leverage CP3 on any deal he gets.
I don't want him on the Knicks for 3 years max money either but Rose might do that deal.
Fingers crossed he reups in PHX.

Can I just ask, why are your posts so weird? You and Carson53.
Every sentence needs its own line?
I don't understand.
Your posts are interesting due to their content.
But it's like ham n egger stuff.
And there are a shitload of errors both in content and grammar.
I'm so confused.
But that's not surprising, right?
Cool.
I also blame Thibs a bit for not giving Toppin some more of Randall's minutes late in the season. Randall was plumb worn out.

No way Toppin was ready early in the season to take on minutes, he was an absolute liability out there for the first 40 games. If he wasn't a top 10 pick I doubt he would have gotten minutes at all for most of the season.
Also ATL had a ton of injuries all season and was finally healthy in the playoffs.
In the end the Knicks were the 5th best team in the east.
Well deserved. He did a great job with the Hawks.
And, of course, I agree with the comments on the tweet.

Sorry mis read but I still don't feel he could have eaten to Randle's minutes late with the playoff push.

Knicks starting point guard on opening night since 2009:
2009: Chris Duhon
2010: Ray Felton
2011: Toney Douglas
2012: Ray Felton
2013: Pablo Prigioni
2014: Shane Larkin
2015: Jose Calderon
2016: D Rose
2017: Ramon Sessions
2018: Trey Burke
2019: Allonzo Trier
2020: Elfrid Payton
Absolutely not.
some writer did a book about the Kyrie/KD Nets. The link below is an interview the writer did with Lebatard. The guy comes across as kind of weird and very self important. Regardless, he says some interesting stuff but most of it's ho-hum.
With regard to the cap, he basically said the Nets pay for all kinds of personal stuff for Kyrie/KD. The writer didn't even seem that interested in discussing it. Maybe it's because he doesn't have an NBA background and doesn't really get the significance of the cap? If it were true, the NBA would probably fine the Nets or dock them a second round pick unless maybe some powerful owners complained.

One of several guys who would be a welcome addition to our backcourt.

so depressing. During that time, the only above average stretches of PG play they've had in no particular order:
-Linsanity (duh)
-Pablo/Felton/Kidd trio at the beginning of 2012/2013 season
-Derrick Rose we just saw in 2021
-2 good weeks from Chancey Billups in 2011 before he got hurt
That might be it.
Honorable mention to the random ridiculous performances Nate Robinson would have once in a while.

hahaha no thank god..
Donnie gave him the full MLE over two years which was an overpay. The guy was basically average at everything. He had some fun moments running Dantonis offense but then again so did most guards.

that the nets are circumventing the cap to pay Durant and Kyrie...Basically when they signed, they signed them to their contracts but also told them they will pay for anytging they need

again, to me this is where the guy shows he wasn't really an NBA guy before writing the book. The Knicks were tampering with a guy who'd already been tampered with. The Nets knew they were getting KD in early June when they made the Crabbe trade.
What you have to ask is what the Knicks do after signing Paul? If they traded for a star while keeping Randle and RJB, and actually headed into 2022 with room for one more max? Which might actually be possible with the Randle being signed last, maybe, that’s a team with some serious star power and one that would be vastly improved for next season with room for more in 22, maybe...
Some guys can play into their late 30s... why not Paul. And maybe the suns owner gets cold feet yet again. I might have to do that move.
Yeah I might have to do that. It’s risky but there’s a payoff.
Sure, great player. But total jerkoff and it's nauseating hearing the media trip over themselves to blow him first.
If they win i wouodnt be shocked if he left..
If theyblose i would be shocked if he left
he may not want NY but given the circumstances, it would not be surprising if he left to get more guaranteed money.
with almost any other owner I'd say you're right. But Sarver has a reputation for a reason. And Paul is head of the union.
is it that crazy for a player to leave a good to great team for another?
Paul at age 36 is also thinking about post playing career at that point, same reason Lebron went to Lakers..
I am not saying Paul is coming to NY, but i dont think it is that crazy he leaves Phoenix..

public negotiations for him to get the most he can on what will be his last contract. He's not leaving Monty and that core, IMO.

This is a fair point. The owner is a bit different in that regard.

It's not crazy. Just really unlikely, IMO. I'd personally love it because he's one of my favorite players in the league. Always has been. I'd take old-ass Chris Paul who would be the best PG since we had old-ass Jason Kidd.
