Detroit won the Cade sweepstakes.
Toronto hitting the 4th spot they get to draft their replacement for Lowery.
It will be interesting to see if the Knicks can package picks and move up and if they even want to?
Hopefully a PG slips down in range of the Knicks.
Will GS trade 7 and 14 for a Vet to help them win now or build for post Curry?
Less than a month to the draft and rumors are flying around.
But also Jared Butler at #19 or #21 also wouldn't be a bad consolation prize.
That said, I'd be happy if the Knicks got him, even if I'd also be a little worried too.
This is RJ's year 2 stats vs some other big time scorers year 2 stats - who also entered the NBA young at a young age:
RJ Barrett - 17.6/5.8/3.0 .441/.401/.746
Kobe Bryant - 15.4/3.1/2.5 .428/.341/.794
Bradley Beal - 17.1/3.7/3.3 .419/.402/.788
Jayson Tatum - 15.7/6.0/2.1 .450/.373/.855
you have to think Doncic was consulted right? And i have not read a single name the mavs interviewed for gm..
This feels like Dirk has more of a say than the mavs are letting on..
Would definitely need to move up. He's gonna go in the #8-10 range. I don't know though some people have said packaging all our picks up could move us as high as #8.
I liked the Clippers to win it all before Kawhi got hurt just because they were flat out the most talented team overall (and honestly they're still pretty damn talented even w/o Kawhi), but the Suns just have such a nice collection of pieces and to me are just more of a classic perfect basketball TEAM.
I would offer all 3 picks this year and knox for Sexton. I think it’s a fair offer especially if cavs take Suggs they will look to unload. Sexton also can play defense when motivated.
I would take Sexton over Ball
I would take Sexton over Ball
Sexton has definitely prove more at the NBA level. Ball has definitely improved certain skill sets the past few seasons, but Sexton is more polished at this point.
That trade has done a 180. Lou wanted no part of going to Atlanta but he has turned into a bigger difference maker than Rondo and oddly enough he has a better shot at the finals and even possibly winning a ring than if he had stayed in LA.
It seems a lot of the top players in this class are extremely athletic but have to work on their shooting..
I think there is a slight chance for the first time...i think if a team blew them away they would do it..
if Portland was really looking to tear it down, I think we might be one of the few teams able to take back both Dame and CJ without sending much money back.
Toppin
Barret
knox
2021 1st rounder 19
2021 1st rounder 21
2021 2nd rounder 32
2023 1st rounder
2023 1st rounder Dallas
2025 1st rounder
Would we want that as Knicks fans?
Can fit under the cap?
PG Lillard
SG McCollum
SF TBD
PF Randle
C Mitch
Quickley off bench and all vet mins
It doesn’t excite me all that much, I know it should but there would be no depth with 2 aging stars and randle
Pick swaps in 2022, 2024 and 2026
Do they? RoCo is wildly overrated. Nurkic is always hurt. Randle was 2nd team all NBA this year. He's I think back to being slightly devalued cause of his stinker of a playoff series. Plus a huge upgrade in coach with Thibs.
Bring back Rose and Bullock and that's a damn good team.
Adding Lowry plus the improvements in the young guys and a too pick should keep Knicks in top 6 in east with major cap room in 2022 and lots of good young assets and picks.
Then go for lavine or beal as free agents or if their teams try to trade them at the deadline.
Seems like Mavs had the easy choice of hiring Mosely but decided to go the "sexy" route
I know most are not fans of his and he has 2 years 74 million left on his deal.
Knicks obviously have the cap space.
Could he be had for a 1st and say Knox?
Crazy right?
Doesn't look that much bigger.
I believe that's who Dame wanted.
shams said its all but done
Yup. He'll probably give it at least another year.
Right? It reminds me of the Lakers losing game 1 to Philly.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob responds to rumors that LeBron James has been recruiting Stephen Curry to Lakers
“Look, Steph Curry, if he really wanted to leave at the end of his contract, he’s a free agent, he’s earned the right, he can do it."
Wow. Looks like Lacob REALLY wants Steph to stick around...there's a weird vibe there between Steph & Lacob from all accounts.
I doubt he's worried about it, and I definitely doubt he'd enjoy that outcome. He just tends to state the obvious like that.
If that's the case, the Knicks should target him. He's young, has a good all around game and he played for Kentucky. ;)
