Detroit won the Cade sweepstakes.
Toronto hitting the 4th spot they get to draft their replacement for Lowery.
It will be interesting to see if the Knicks can package picks and move up and if they even want to?
Hopefully a PG slips down in range of the Knicks.
Will GS trade 7 and 14 for a Vet to help them win now or build for post Curry?
Less than a month to the draft and rumors are flying around.

The Miami Heat and New York Knicks are indeed monitoring the Collin Sexton situation in Cleveland, per sources.
Is it just me or are the Heat rumored to be involved with every player that has ever hit FA or been made available in a trade? I know it’s a bit of an exaggeration but it seems their name comes up every single time
One of the best run franchises in sports in the one most desirable cities in the country...makes sense. Also run by one of the true legends of the game. You also don't have to live in Miami during the few months you don't want to- July- September. It's pretty much the perfect NBA destination for players...checks all the boxes. Who wouldn't want to go there?

Friggen Dave Checkets! Had to run Riley out of town because he was too greedy to give up any power. The one time we had greatness in the Garden since the title days and we let him hey away to the godman Heat. A quarter of a century later he's still competing for championships and beating us to every player.
I don't buy it. Winning team, close to his family. Don't buy it.

NY is the biggest market in the world. Players have to be attracted to that.
I was dead set against taking on his existing contract (which ending up working out just fine). But I'm drawing the line at a NEW big money deal for him that's probably going to be something like 3/120!
Pretty sure he isn’t going anywhere
you could have said the same during the Nash era when he wouldn't go into the tax. Might have cost them a championship or two.

Did I miss someone? They're basically in on anyone that might be available.
No one has any idea how this is gonna work out lol.

oh I think I know how it's going to turn out. Get ready to get excited about Kyle Lowry and Demar DeRozan!
I would be surprised if he left Phoenix bit there was a report that he would of went to the Kbicks if they had full crowds..
but again who knows
Because Sarver is a cheapskate.

Yeah, that's a long of coin for a dude pretty long in the tooth. CP3 is what, 36? 37? He's had a great season obviously, but I'd worry about shelling out that type of money for someone up there in age unless TB12 excelling @ 43 is the new norm across the sports board.
Also if I am PHX I would think hard about investing in CP3 if he opts out.
Perfect time to spend it on a younger PG.
Yup was just saying I'm pretty certain he’s not leaving Cleveland

larry, I think the Suns win it all. & I think CP3 moves. I just am leery about giving serious coin to a PG in his late 30s, no matter how good he's been this season.

The pressure is off and he can go to NY or anywhere stress free.

I agree I don't want him either at that age and the cost most like 3 years
But I think Rose and WW Wes might think otherwise and that's my fear.
Bring back Rose and co. We could trade Knox with a second or two to get rid of his salary if needed.

CP3 loves that Suns team. He loves Monty Williams. Have you seen the way his eyes light up when he talks about his time there this year? He specifically chose to go to Phoenix because he wanted to play with Devin Booker, he though it could work well, and he now looks like a genius for his decision. His option next year is $44.2M. Why would he decline that much money to play for a team he now absolutely loves? Why would he now at this age choose to try to start over somewhere else hoping it’ll work out just as nicely as the Suns did? It took him 16 years to find the right team to get to the finals with, why would he jump out of the boat now?
Again— regardless of what happens in the Finals, why would he leave? If they lose, he still knows this team is his best shot at winning a title before he retires (which is his #1 concern at this point). Plus he would probably figure they’re a young team and will only come back better next year. And if they win the Finals? Why would he leave? He’s gonna look at that young team and think “let’s run that shit back.” You know the only thing better than a ring? Getting 2 rings (as Just Tuck would say lol).
Maybe y’all are thinking this was just a 1 year layover plan for CP3? And hey maybe that was a possibility if it didn’t turn out so well. But it did. It REALLY did. It turned out as good as it possibly could have. The Suns missed the playoffs 10 years in a row and had a super young team with no playoff experience... NO ONE expected to see them in the Finals. Yet here they are. The season was a success no matter how you slice it and no matter what happens in the next few weeks.
He literally has everything he wants in Phoenix next year... a team he loves—, a coach he loves both on a personal and professional level, a team that can win a title... oh and $45 million. And I don’t see the Suns screwing around trying to restructure/low-Ball him, they want this man back and they want him to retire in Phoenix. He isn’t going anywhere IMO.
The Suns are a perfect team right now so I think they win it all this year and I think they try to repeat next year. CP3 loves this situation. I mean Booker can score at all 3 levels with his eyes closed, which takes so much pressure off CP3 and allows him to just play freely and focus on facilitating the offense— he doesn’t have to force his scoring so he ends up being a super efficient scorer. Also what classic old school “ floor general” PG like Paul doesn’t love a great big man who plays like Ayton? Ayton is definitely going to be an all star next year (and is playing like one in these playoffs), which essentially means the Suns have 3 all stars. On top of that — every championship team needs a guy exactly like Jae Crowder. Just a classic solid 3-D guy with plenty of experience. Oh and not to mention other terrific young players in Bridges and Johnson. Plus Payne who looks like he could very well be a 6MOY candidate next year. Plus a coach who can put it all together both on a personal leadership level and an X’s and O’s Level.
I just don’t see why Paul would ever think of declining that option.
He doesnt have any connection to the NY area.
Maybe he would have done it last year instead of going to Phoenix because no one looked at Phoenix as a title contender before now, but you have to look at them that way now and he's in a great situation
Paul is opting out and resigning. Rumors of other teams are to drive up the price for PHO, IMO.

Early exits for Brooklyn and Philly, Hawks get beat (eventually), and now CP3 or Giannis gets a legacy changing title. Worked out pretty well after the Knicks’ no-show in round one.
The Knicks just couldn't figure that out.
Bucks are the East reps in the finals - I have no problem with that.
The finals will be interesting. Actually, if the Knicks hadn't revived this year I'd probably have no interest, but now I'm thinking about the Knicks as a playoff team again next year (which I think they'll be).
I could see PHX not want to do that long of a deal at max money.
They have a lot of youth to pay over the next couple of years.
The Knicks will be leverage CP3 on any deal he gets.
I don't want him on the Knicks for 3 years max money either but Rose might do that deal.
Fingers crossed he reups in PHX.

Can I just ask, why are your posts so weird? You and Carson53.
Every sentence needs its own line?
I don't understand.
Your posts are interesting due to their content.
But it's like ham n egger stuff.
And there are a shitload of errors both in content and grammar.
I'm so confused.
But that's not surprising, right?
Cool.
I also blame Thibs a bit for not giving Toppin some more of Randall's minutes late in the season. Randall was plumb worn out.

No way Toppin was ready early in the season to take on minutes, he was an absolute liability out there for the first 40 games. If he wasn't a top 10 pick I doubt he would have gotten minutes at all for most of the season.
Also ATL had a ton of injuries all season and was finally healthy in the playoffs.
In the end the Knicks were the 5th best team in the east.
Well deserved. He did a great job with the Hawks.
And, of course, I agree with the comments on the tweet.

Sorry mis read but I still don't feel he could have eaten to Randle's minutes late with the playoff push.
