John Schmeelk and Paul Dottino preview the team's secondary. |
As an aside, what's with all of these rumors I've been hearing about the Giants looking to trade Jabrill Peppers? I don't know where they originated...I get a ton of Giants videos in my recommendations, most of which are from channels with very few subscribers that I generally ignore, but things like this spread like wildfires in the offseason. It's a little disconcerting.

Interesting about Peppers, I guess I haven't been reading a ton but I haven't seen that anywhere.

There doesn't appear to be anything to substantiate these rumors. It might just be YouTubers looking for views.

I havent heard much on it but he is in a contract year and we have McKinney so who knows. I prefer to keep him, hes a good player and seems like he enjoys playing for the Giants. An easy guy to root for.
He still struggles a good bit in pass coverage and is clearly targeted by QBs, particularly on 3rd down.
I was wondering if the Giants were going to try and draft his potential replacement this spring as the dollars may not make sense when those next contract talks start...
I also think he's a leader and got on the phone (or internet, I'm dated) and persuaded some of the free agents to come on board.
If so, not the kind of player you like to lose....but maybe inevitable.
It seems like people throwing shit on a wall and it was picked up by others and spread.
Hopefully Jackson, a signing I did not like for the costs, rebounds to prior form. Because I think the overall success is going to hinge on his contribution.
