Anyone else going thru massive shipping delays: Giants.com?

Jints in Carolina : 7/26/2021 2:49 pm
I ordered a Kadarius Toney jersey the day after he was drafted for my nephew. Original shipping date was 1st week in July. I then received an email stating that it would be delayed until the first week of August. Fine I have no issue with it....now I just got another email stating it will be October and do I want to keep the item or cancel it.

I chose to keep it but man WTF? I know the pandemic has something to do with it...I'm just a little annoyed.

/rant

and yes in light of everything the world is going through

I know my little jersey issue is small potatoes.
We are experiencing global supply issues

At the rate he's going, he may not make the team

I'M KIDDING.
Right number?

Did you get him the jersey with the right number? I don't think Toney's number was assigned the day after the draft...
Also...

some numbers aren't finalized until after the final cutdown, though one would think that's probably not the case for a first rounder, though still possible.
It's an issue..

for a lot of online retailers.

I've had maybe one or two issues with Amazon over the past 10 years. Just in the past two months I've had 4 orders cancelled due to stock issues and two that were supposedly shipping but then were returned to the sender after reaching an Amazon depot. All orders were refunded, but two of them were fantastic deals on Amazon Prime day and though I got the refund, there wasn't a price guarantee to reorder.
I think he's in the process of legally changing his name.....

to Funkmaster T, so that could be the holdup.

This.

I work in retail and this has been a problem since last year. It’s not getting any better any time soon either.
I bought furniture yesterday

4 to 12 week delay for delivery. Labor shortages was the response from the sales team. “No one wants to work anymore” must have been said 3 times. Seems like employers should raise wages increase benefits or offer other incentives.
With the economy...
Brown_Hornet : 7/26/2021 3:56 pm : link
...in high gear, not only are we dealing with raw materials issues, but shipping issues as well.
Lead times are best-guesses.
There seems to be a shortage of drivers etc

I've ordered a bunch of work phones from Verizon and 1 or 2 days shipping has been taking 4 or 5.
The initial delay was because of the number had not been assigned

Or stop paying people 75-80K a year for doing nothing??? What do you think? And just think another 2 million people on that plan that are crossing the border this year.

I assume this is in regards to enhanced unemployment? It seems the states that ended it still haven’t seen an increase in hiring.

But yeah

Prime 2 day shipping is a thing of a past at this point but I haven’t had much trouble overall for most orders.

Specifically LTL (less than truckload). The market just sucks right now. Terminals are backed up for weeks, sometimes months b/c of backlogged freight due to the pandemic. Add on top of that the shortage of drivers and lack of man power and, you’ve got one big mess.

This happened with me last year, I ordered an Andrew Thomas jersey the day after the draft - got an e-mail around the same time as you with the delay notification, received one in October, then November - I finally opted to cancel it. I am not sure if your experience will mirror mine but I thought I would share.

I think there's a chance that he changes his number before the season starts. I seem to remember reading that Toney wasn't thrilled with "89".

That's because it was never a thing.

The only thing that you can pin on the enhanced unemployment is it's contribution to the boost in the economy. People that get that $ are spending it...everyone else is buying the shit that they didn't buy in 2020.
Same goes for gasoline. Too much supply in 2020 (no one was driving) price went down, 2021, not knowing what to expect, supply is low but now, everybody is driving again...price goes up.
You're really

I'd hold off on getting his jersey if I were you

something tells me he won't be wearing #89 after rosters cut down to 53

Actually- I misinterpreted your post. Rookie numbers not being finalized until the first week of Sept may be the issue causing the delay.

In what world are people paid 75-80k to do nothing? I thought the unemployment benefits were capped at like 400 in most states?
