that adaptive athletes suffer from some limitation - missing a limb, or use of a limb, or other ailment preventing them from exercising like an able bodied person?
So, sure crossfit boasting is annoying when shared excessively on social media, but in this case if I understand the OP right, he deserves to boast (even if it's just his interest).
Just want to make sure we're all clear before you flame someone for sharing. Or it's possible I'm not clear on the meaning of adaptive crossfit and why it's inspiring to Scooter.

I did not mean to offend....it was just a joke.
I know, and I'm obviously not offended - just pointing it out.
I just think the adaptive part was kind of buried in the end of the post and if you knew maybe you wouldn't have joked - or maybe you would have. either way, just pointing out that portion of the OP (which I may have misinterpreted anyway)

It's ok Pj, I don't think I was getting flamed for the post. I chuckled at the Twitter comment, because I know there's a lot of "identity" CrossFit athletes who absolutely have to let everyone know.
As far as adaptive, you're correct. The games are running three divisions: upper body limitation, lower body limitation, and neuromuscular. So seeing someone without an arm do a rope climb was mind-blowing and inspiring.
and you're right it's inspiring. And I'm maybe a little sensitive to seeing adaptive athletes because I coach my daughters youth hockey team and this past year we played an early morning game at Merrimack College in MA. It was maybe a 7:00AM game.
We got to the rink at 6:15AM or so which was an hour away and the MA state sled hockey team was practicing. Just watching those athletes, all of whom were adaptive athletes out there at that hour and seeing what they had to go through to just get the equipment on and practice was like you said, inspiring. Just love of the game stuff. I had never seen it up close - only in a Gatorade "commercial" where Sidney Crosby, MacKinnnon, Giroux, Hartnett, and other NHL Stars surprised the sled hockey players on the ice (linked below - be careful if you hate Crosby you may not still hate for long - or you may still, lol)
I asked all the kids on the team to stop getting ready for their game and to watch for a few minutes. Half had tears in their eyes and it made me feel like they got it. Even for a moment.
If a vegan does crossfit, which one do they tell you about first?
They do it at this dame time. Telling you they can do a Murph while never touching animal protein. Just do ask any one who does CrossFit to do a real pull-up or an actual full burpee

US won the gold in June in sled hockey.

Trick question, vegans are too weak to do CrossFit.
