Mike Greenberg recently touted a sports psychology book called "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect" (Dr. Bob Rotella).
I'm not a golfer, but I'm very interested in how adjusting my mindset or perspective can improve my athletic goals.
Has anyone read this book? Would it be lost on me if I don't know the game of golf?
Any input is welcome
I think you may prefer “how champions think” also by Bob. It is less golf focused, but same idea.
Zen Golf, is also a solid read. Might be better for overall mindset.
I recommend diving into all of them. They highlight how to focus, breath under pressure, find and stay in the zone. How to give yourself grace when you make mistakes.
At a minimum I enjoy the game a lot more after reading them. I got them on audible now and listen to them once a season to remind myself of the mental process.
