is Crimetown Season 1. Top notch production quality which makes a huge difference. Serial Season 1 is right up there too.

I used to listen to listen to Crime Junkie because they were so comically bad and then (I think) got in trouble for plagiarizing.

Some chilling stories out there over time. That Yogurt Shop one from 1991 STILL pisses me the fuck off.

Season one. Just listened to it on the way to obx a few weeks ago.

Started season 2 on the way to Ohio a week later. Both made the drive go quickly.

If you like Mob Stuff, this one is great. Interviews with Sammy talking about the life. If you grew up with Casino, Goodfellas, and the Sopranos, were interested in MOB stuff, this one is addicting.

In the Dark was pretty good too. Gotta echo Serial S1.

WTOP has a good podcast about the DC sniper.

Also, what colleges in VA are you planning to visit?

thats 1 theory. they have never arrested anyone.

I remember the AC killings as if it were yesterday. Sad they never found out who did it. I think they knocked down that motel, in recent years.

I wrote an article about the story in The SandPaper on LBI.

I ended up listening to S1 of Serial (Adnan Syed) and damn was I hooked... I know I am late to the party and recall it being discussed on BBI but what an incredible story.

I have subsequently watched the HBO/Amy Berg "Case Against Adnan Syed" and was just shocked his granting of a new trial was overturned.

Of course I can't say what actually happened but I can't believe for 1 second based on everything I have heard and read that he deserved to be found guilty.

and in case anyone is interested, we absolutely fell in love with James Madison Univ... I am truly hoping one of my sons goes there so I can visit!

and one of the best bang for your buck schools if you are out of state. My sister went there, so I’ve been twice (moving her in as a freshman, and again at her graduation) and enjoyed both trips.

Serial season 1 is top notch. I didn’t care for the HBO special though, was a rehash of the podcast and not done as well.

I'm really excited about the prospect of being a JMU parent!

What I liked about the HBO special is more than anything is the visuals it game me - seeing the people whose voices I had only heard previously... plus it took the story further, right up to the new trial reversal... so if nothing else, it brought me up to date whereas Serial stopped updating as far as I know.
