missed the playoffs in the year prior
TB in 2020 (although Brady makes them a completely diff team)
SF in 2019 coming off a 4-12 year in 18'
Philly in 17' after a 7-9 year in 16'
Atlanta in 16' after 8-8 in 15'
Carolina in 15' after 7-8-1 in 14'
Outside of being homers and picking the Giants, any teams you have your eye on to possibly continue this trend?
My pick is Minnesota...
Cousins is a question mark in big games, but the rest of that roster is very good. Star power on offense in Cook, Jefferson and Thielen. They've really focused on and improved the OL in the last couple of drafts.
On defense, they have stars in H.Smith and Kendricks, are getting some key pieces back from injury in Hunter and Pierce, had key additions like Pat Peterson and Tomlinson, and have some interesting young players like Gladney and Dantzler in the secondary as well.
Redskins
Eagles
Lions
Vikings
Falcons
Panthers
Cards
49ers
That's slim picking. I guess you would have to look at QB and see who you can really see in the super bowl. That eliminates quite a few teams. I doubt anyone sees Sam Darnold in the super bowl. Maybe the Cardinals. Thats strictly based on the QB. I'm not in love with Murray but for the sake of this game I think he has the best change to be a dominant QB capable of carrying the team.

Dallas would be an option instead of WFT.
But AZ isn't too far of a stretch with the additions they made in Hudson, Watt, James Connor and Malcolm Butler. Murray is a very good player IMO and in an offense that is catered to his strengths. Also like their draft and think Isaiah Simmons makes a big jump up in year 2.
SF also has a good roster with alot of high end talent coming back from injury. Jimmy G has made it to a super bowl but if he stinks, they likely go to Lance.
I don't see it with ATL, DET, Philly, Carolina (though they may surprise and push for a WC)
Obviously I'm bullish on our Giants but I think they are another strong offseason and year of progression from the young guys away from being a true NFC contender

Dallas- though I hate them so and Minnesota are right there.
AZ and SF have elite units that can carry a season, so they'd get my vote.

There will be no 3peat ('90, '11, xx).
LOL.
I don't see them getting out of that division again.
Cousins is an underrated QB in general. He throws a very nice ball, but his lack of clutchness in big games certainly hurts him.
He doesn't win big games. Never has. His career record against winning teams is abysmal.
Quote:
He puts up numbers every year and scores points. Vikings are a smart bet.

That's true but not sure he's holding teams back as much as he's played on some inferior teams. His numbers are good.
2020 = 430 points scored 2nd in division to Pack
2019 = 407 points scored led the division
2018 points scored was 365 or so, so not that good but Cousins had good numbers that year.
He's got a 500 record as a starter.
Wouldn't hurt if he had a defense.
So, yeah, maybe the Cards can make a run with the Mayor of Munchkinland and an improved defense. But even here, the Rams have to be favorites to win the division with Stafford and the Hawks and Niners aren’t giving away any games.
