I was just being cheeky.

As for an honest answer, i'd have a hard time choosing between:

- chicken cutlet, fresh mozz, arugala, red onion, pesto on a hero

- classic italian sub

I love a good reuben, perhaps above all else, but I have this thing where right after I eat a reuben, I feel like I don't want another one for at least a good while. Whereas i could eat the above nearly every day and not tire of them.

egg and cheese on either a roll or bagel or toasted rye or wheat bread, or even a wrap. I guess for health reasons I'd go with toasted whole wheat. Whatever vessel is healthiest. Gimme that. Egg needs to have somewhat runny yolk but white shit needs to be cooked well. Frank's red hot over it.

That's the one for me. It always satisfies and rarely upsets or bothers my stomach. Cold cuts are awesome but can be troublesome on the stomach.

Not to hijack the thread but will be in Richmind for a weekend coming up. Any musts to see/do there? Heard Carytown is cool and Scott's Addition for the breweries.

Depends on what you're into. Carytown's a popular shopping area. Not really my thing, but very popular. Scott's Addition is a very trendy area. Bingo Beer Co. is a place I like to go there - a brewpub with a bunch of arcade games, always fun. Peter Chang is in that area too, excellent Chinese food. The local breweries I like best are Strangeways and Hardywood Park. Center of the Universe is actually my favorite, but that's up in Ashland so I'm guessing you're not going to want to drive that far.

If you're into history, there's obviously a ton here. The Civil War Museum, all of the battlefield parks, the John Marshall House, Maggie Walker House, St. John's church (where Patrick Henry gave his liberty or death speech).

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is wonderful. The Fabrege collection is a particular favorite.

If the Squirrels are in town, that's always fun. I like going down to the river and walking across the bridge to Belle Isle, too.

You put mayo on the outside of your roll? Doesn't it get messy?
Chunky Peanut Butter and Jelly (strawberry jam)
MarvelousMike : 7/29/2021 12:16 pm : link

Pork Italian is my #1.

Mayo ruins anything that it touches. I once received a cheesesteak that somehow had mayo on it and I proceeded to throw it out of the window.

German style is good. Potato salad with oil/vinegar instead of mayo, and sandwiches on black bread or rye with only butter as the condiment to the meat.
