Traded 2 guys pitching well in AA for A guy with an ERA over 5 and will likely push Cortes to the bullpen in the process weakening the Rotation. Would have been better off just keeping Cessa and leaving Cortes in the Rotation .
This whole thing Reeks of Cashman just making moves just to make them. Cashman added Peralta, Holmes, Rodriguez, and Heaney the last few months and they all are close or over 5 ERA . Cashman and pitching is a match made in hell.
Cashman improved the lineup assuming Stanton can play in LF but the bullpen is a big problem especially with Britton , Green, and Chapman struggling recently.
Actually... I think he needs to shit. A lot. And often. It's why he DHs and either Ks or HRs most every at bat. He can't take the cha ce of being too far from the can for an extended period of time.
Cashman said that Gardner is still the starting CF going forward
Don't get this at all. These moves should force Gardner back to the bench.
I know it is a limited sample size but Florial has looked much better then Gardner on both sides of the ball and they just don't care. It's either stubborn loyalty or Stupid analytics
Give him a piece of your mind as your walking away but you can't throw equipment that's an automatic ejection and in a 1 run game we need his glove at ss.
Bad call, but I have less problem with the strike call

It’s easy to say it’s inexcusable from the couch. But these guys have been up Ed a billion times this season and taken the “high road” far too often. I’m sure they are fed up

I agree. This organization has no faith/patience with the young kids. If they are going analytically, then Florial should be starting.

It's not an automatic ejection; bats get tossed all the time.
Callo - RF
Judge - CF
Rizzo - 1B
Stanton - LF
Odor - 2B
Sanchez - CA
Wade - 3B
Taillon - P
Yanks have been unwatchable but this lineup I'll watch.
And will be very interested to see what they roll out when they get back home to the DH, with Voit still around.

I saw on MLBN yesterday, that Gallo has played 55 games
in CF. Obviously Judge has not at the MLB level.

I predicted that in two other Yankees threads in the past two days.
That's our GM. And when Gardner is gone, it will be some other player that he will use to tell the world: "I'm the GM of the Yankees and you're not."
That's what runs his motor.
They are both nursing injuries

since Gallo has played there.

As soon as he threw the bat, I knew he was getting tossed.

It was only about 2-3 seconds after the strike call. That's just hypersensitivity by the ump.
I'm not a lip reader, but it looked an awful like he said F-you.
