After one week (yes, it is still VERY early), two wide receivers who keep making plays are David Sills (who had three more TDs today) and C.J. Board. Odds still stacked against them, but they are making noise.
I really think Sills getting hurt last year was low key a big deal.
He was our only real red zone receiving threat. I think he finds a spot in this league, I know Sy was high on him as well. Guy goes up and gets the ball, very impressive, especially for a guy that didn’t start playing WR until college.
Maybe Board not Mack given it's WR6 is very heavy ST need....doubt Mack can compete in that niche. Core used to be money but maybe that ship has sailed. Good problems.
(If Ross can get a footing and build...woa boy that could be fun!)
And Pettis on the team is redundant with Toney also on board.
Golladay, Slayton, Shepard, and Toney. Two smaller guys, one giant and another speedster who's got good size. To me it comes down to ST. Ross has a shot because he's crazy fast. But he's had a serious history with drops and being injured. Sills is a kid who has size and the ability to go up after the ball. Curious how much value he can bring as a gunner on in the kick or punt team.
Actually the combination of Core and Sills both getting hurt
Knocked both tall big framed WR's off the roster. I like Sills at WR 6 or the practice squad. It comes down to specials at that point. I don't know his special game so watching for that in camp and going to check pre-season game stats to see if he is used on specials.
Remember a guy named Victor Cruz? Last guy signed to a 90-man roster. Started tearing it up in camp.
You might be right but I would counter with Keith Elias, a couple WR from a year or two ago, and the DE who's name I forgot but was a fan favorite years back. Probably a ton of others too.

I agree, Sills was one of the stars of camp last season too. He likely would have finished the season as a starter had he not been injured.
Sure you can.
