the heck do you tear your Achilles when you are lightly working on the sideline? Good grief.
Good ?. & remember that 'Zona kicker who tore his ACL after making like a 2nd quarter FG vs. us & started celebrating? His name escapes me. That was UFB too.

Bill Gramatica. My friends dad tore his achilled when were kids during a passing drill at basketball practice. He wasnt even running, just stepped into a pass. He obviously wasnt a pro athlete though, just a typical overweight guy in his early 40s.
FG was at halftime. Was at the game. Don't like to laugh at any injury but we were hysterical because Gramatica was acting like he just won the SB and then tears ACL......at halftime.
sorry to hear it, but his re-signing never made too much sense anyway
They can cut him, suffer a dead cap hit of $650k and save about $1mm compared to his cap if he’d been in the team this season. Given his lack of impact last year, I see this as a gain.
He wasn’t a major contributor, but he was in year 2 in system and Garret likes lots of TEs. This injury in my opinion gives a greater chance for a FB remaining on the roster,
But if I had to choose one of the top TE’s to miss the season I would choose Toilolo as he had an uphill climb to make the roster anyway.
Looking at the bright side this opens up more snaps for TE’s with actual upside like Kaden Smith, Rysen John(when he’s cleared), and new addition Tommy Stevens. Smith was a disappointment last season after an impressive rookie season. This is a huge season for him to prove himself especially in training camp with Rudolph out.

I wouldn’t be too worried about the Giants trying to leave off a FB from the roster. Even if a FB only gets in for 10-15% of the plays, the skill set is such that a TE can’t really replace a FB. And Judge and Garrett both want a real FB, imo.
Eric and all! You can be taking medicines, like ciprofloxacin and
and others that lead to weakening of CT and are associated with tears/breaks of Achilles and other CT tendons. It would explain what happened on sideline and make you wonder what meds are being prescribed to players and for what reason.
Who's on deck?

That's how this happens
Totally agreed.
Full stop.
