Pics don't work in the OP, so I will post them after I post this. But here are pics of the uniform that the Yankees will wear in the Field of Dream Game. I actually like them:
And maybe the pinstriped hat. But those are minor quibbles. They look good.
Cotton jerseys...definitely the way to go
Cotton breathes, you see, it's much softer. Imagine playing games and your team is five degrees cooler than the other team. Don't you think that would be an advantage? They're cooler, they're more comfortable...they're happier - they're gonna play better.
When i heard about the game, I thought it was a great idea. Then when I found out it's not actually on the Field of Dreams field because the field is too small and there are not requisite facilities, it kind of lost it's charm for me. They had to build a new field and facilities, so not really nostalgic.

I didn't know that. Pretty lame. What's the point of building a new place??

It reminds a little of the movie Mystery, Alaska when the pond hockey exhibition turns into something very different.
People actually thought this was the real FoD that was in the movie?

Yeah I understand. The field is adjacent to the movie field, so we'll see how they utilize it - I'm sure it'll be a memorable experience for the people in attendance, not so much for the TV viewer.
RE: People actually thought this was the real FoD that was in the movie?
That is how it was initially billed. I never bought it, because that field is too small for MLB.
I heard the real issue was the bleachers... word is a little girl fell off the back due to lack of proper reinforcements and nearly choked to death on her ballgame snack...

Not true, Doc Medich walked off the field and dislodged the hot dog....

Well, it was fortunate that they had a ghost ball player who became a doctor because not one of the other adults present had any idea what to do for a choking victim.

.
That would have been a scoop.
As a fan, playing a game in Iowa doesn't do that much for me, maybe I'll feel differently watching the game?
Yanks jerseys, no fuss, no muss.
I kinda like the Pale Hose jerseys, does bring a little
of the feel of the times.

to use the field used in a movie from over 30 years ago. It would've been cool, if possible, but yeah no.
I never thought they were. I heard the idea when it was first announced I thought it sounds cool, but there's no way they can use that field as is. I remember the discussion here. I thought it was a waste from the start, because it's not the Field of Dreams Game; it's the near the Field of Dreams Game. Cool backdrop, but not really the same.
And maybe the pinstriped hat. But those are minor quibbles. They look good.
If it was 5 years later, it would have been "With CGI - you don't need to build anything", and this game wouldn't exist!
It's all good. No need to apologize.

That part when Ray hires the ghost of Black Sox attorney Michael Ahern to broker the concessions deal always bring a tear to my eye.

Hahaha.
