He makes up his mind that he is going to double team the DL one man over because there is no one lined up opposite him.
He's oblivious to the threat of the LB blitzing through his gap until way too late. The delayed head turn to the left is the same in both vids.
Hernandez has had a good preseason and I'll get on the optimism wagon. But plays like this have been his weakness and can turn a game in a hurry. been there done that - ( New Window )
of a job, but Eli had been around forever by then. How come he didn't read the blitz and get to ball out to Saquon? That wasn't exactly a blind-side hit, he had to see/feel the guy coming.
Reminds me of the pins and needles I was on waiting for the debut of Jefferson Starship.

I believe this was voted the worst rock song of all time but it may have finished 2nd to "american woman" by guess who. AW took heat due to the derogatory nature of the lyrics towards American Women....

It’s hard to gauge the time of a gif, but that’s definitely one of the areas where Manning was really showing his age. His reaction time in the pocket was getting slllllooooowwwww.
Don't forget the Jones/Barkley section of the band

The only thing I'd say about the OPs video is that someone makes blocking line adjustments pre-snap that may have caused Hernandez to double team. Usually the Center makes the calls. Another reason Halapio was hot garbage.
whoops, at first glance I thought that was against the Eagles
Will Hernandez is not the bottom of that barrel but if I was a DC I would stunt on every passing playing play against the Giants. Hernandez has never shown he can handle even the simplest stunt.

For sure Shyster. He is actually a pretty good guard but he has been abused by stunts and blitzes in the past. Hopefully it is better for him on the right side. It does seem like he had a very good camp and preseason though.
It really is what every Giants game has looked like for the last 5 years. Draft picks never pan out, free agents bust, injuries...and we get clips like these on infinite repeat....
I REALLY want Solder to succeed but I think he's going to absolutely suck.
Solder succeeding would be a miracle.
Nate Solder is a year older right now than any of the starters on the 2011 line, that was on its last leg.
Meh. He can still do well if his focus is able to be off of his son's illness. Plus he's coming off a year of no wear and tear. In 2000 Lomas Brown was 37 and did a hell of a job for us at LT. That whole OL on the left side in 2000 was old. Parker at LG was 34. Also Howard Cross was still the TE at that point and he was well into his 30's.
I'm not saying he will but it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility for him to be an adequate starter at this point.
Adams pushes Barkley back like he’s on ice, then zaps Jones with a paralysis gun. He’s just a safety not a Marvel villain.
I think that’s one of the most embarrassing football plays I’ve ever seen. It’s not as obviously funny as the Sanchize butt fumble. But from a football perspective, that’s kind of like cutting off the nuts of Barkley and Jones and then stomping on them in the end zone. It must be embarrassing for those guys to have this on tape.

Barkley made up for his poor blocking with his half hearted pursuit of Adams afterwards. But hey he tweets out videos of himself working out telling us he's blessed, so it's ok.
All things equal I might go for the 2021 version of those guys!
And THEN he’ll fumble
And THEN he’ll fumble
And THEN he’ll fumble
They say knowing is half the battle
Eli Manning might say the same thing...

Jones and Barkley on vocals and lead guitar.
Whoa no way! It’s Piranah????
I wouldn't say that, but some people have a sense of humor about the team's issues. Which is pretty healthy all things considered.
Good Lord, we made whoever #33 was look like The Terminator.

Looks like he was taking th inside rush to cover for Solder, whiffed, on the chip, and forgot about his man.

It’s the roughest play of the decade.

That was Jamal Adams, a pretty damn good player in his own right, but we made that pretty easy for him non-the-less.
