Game was on the Big 10 Network here in metro DC so naturally I watched.
The kid is a legit lower D-1 linebacker. Part of the reason why he accumulated so many tackles is that the defensive line, outweighed it seemed by at least 30+ pounds per man, was basically flattened at the line of scrimmage on every running play, which once the game got out of hand in the second half, was pretty much every play. But you still have to make the tackles and he did almost every time.
As to why Fordham agreed to the game, the answer to basically every question is, yep, money. Nebraska paid a half million plus all expenses. The good Jesuits in The Bronx weren't turning that down.
I follow the patriot league as a Lafayette Alum and familiar with Greenhagen. Ryan Greenhagen is similar to another FCS inside LB..Troy Reeder, who played at Delaware and now starting for the Rams. Based on all players with similar profile think Greenhagen has a shot of getting drafted in the lower round of next next years draft 5-8th round, moves well decent athletic profile, and extremely productive think he will make an NFL roster.
