Thomas McGaughey said Kadarius Toney does a good job fielding punts. He’s a strong, wiry guy.
@giantswfan
#Giants McGaughey - toney is wirey, atrong guy and does a good job fielding punts...fine with ball security...peppers has great change of direction, cuts at full speed, always competes
GiantsWFAN
@giantswfan
#Giants McGaughey - continuity is always good...but you might have 4 or 5 guys return over the season
GiantsWFAN
@giantswfan
#Giants McGaughey -denver specials always super aggressive...got to be ready for fakes..stay on your toes and prep for everything
@Dan_Salomone
Patrick Graham said the Broncos have several players who can just “run by you.” They also have guys who can win jump balls and make plays inside. “It’s tough.”

@ZackBlatt
#Giants DC Patrick Graham keeps emphasizing how important it is to stop the run. Said “we’re so behind on the run game” right now but he’s confident in their ability to step up once the season starts.
@giantswfan
#Giants Garrett on 9/11 - tragic time for the country....amazing how all came together afterward...it was such a sad, emotional time..the team was fortunate to be able help the community...coach fassel showed amazing leadership

Jason Garrett on what Saquon brings to the offense: “I was on the other side with this guy [in Dallas]. … We’ve lived that, trying to stop him.” He said he can turn anything into a big play.
@giantswfan
#Giants Garrett on toney - missed a lot of time, so you have to have specific things for him to do
GiantsWFAN
@giantswfan
#Giants Garrett on OL - guys have to be versatile....it is a big part of it even though you want guys locked in...says subbing guys depends on the situation
@Dan_Salomone

Javonte Williams. ‘Nuff said.
Considering they don't have full access to practice anymore, there's not much for them to talk about aside from the press conferences.
@giantswfan

This is what I was expecting. He was unlikely to play in every package but if the Giants receivers can actually stay healthy they will have no problem limiting Toney's snaps early on.

I think it is safe to say if he plays, it will be specials some third down packages and maybe a gadget or two depending on how the game is progressing.

TE Evan Engram (calf) on the side again. Pretty safe to assume he’ll be out this week. Question becomes if he’ll be ready for quick turnaround for Week 2.
✔
@ZackBlatt
TE Evan Engram not practicing again. Seems unlikely he plays this week. The Kyle Rudolph Show.

@PLeonardNYDN
Evan Engram still on the side today. I think Saquon Barkley is going to be limited again, even though he seemed in good spirits during individuals. We will see. Signs weren’t great yesterday for Barkley’s Sunday status. Nothing will be official til tomorrow. #Giants

This guy chasing Dan Graziano
However, I think he plays. Judge is a bit of game player and gives nothing away.

To put a bow on the Giants' restructures from this week:
Sterling Shepard converted $5.985M of his $6.975M base salary this year into a bonus that created $3.99M of cap savings.
2021 cap hit: $5M (was $9M)
2022 cap hit: $12.5M (was $10.5M)
2023 cap hit: $13.5M (was $11.5M)
Logan Ryan converted $4.425M of his $5.5M base salary this year in a bonus that created $2.95M of cap savings.
2021 cap hit: $4.1M (was $7M)
2022 cap hit: $12.2M (was $10.8M)
2023 cap hit: $12.2M (was $10.8M)
So Giants cleared $6.94M from 2021 cap and pushed that to future. Benefits for Shepard and Ryan: Collect bonus and makes it more difficult to cut in future. Shepard dead $ went from $4M to $8M if cut after this season. Ryan dead $ went from $1.5M to $3M if cut after 2022 season.

Pat Shurmur tells the Denver media that he tried to bring Vic Fangio to New York from Chicago when he was hired by the #Giants' head coach, but the #Bears blocked it
✔
@art_stapleton
What would Pat Shurmur's tenure with Giants have looked like if he was able to hire Kevin Stefanski as OC and Vic Fangio as DC?
Both moves were blocked by Vikings and Bears.

It would have still sucked.

Field is on top of the cap, so looks like the Giants have $1.5M in space to work with
