Does anyone play DFS?
** this thread can be used for any FF questions - people used to complain about multiple FF threads, but I haven't seen anyone complain lately so maybe it's no big deal anymore, but anyway - this thread is intended for any FF questions ***
I started DFS a couple years ago and after getting my teeth kicked in for a few weeks I learned how to win (some times) and I now love it. I like it more than traditional fantasy football.
I especially like one contest I'm in that is just the Sunday 1pm and 4pm games.
But I'm also in a Thursday - Monday contest (so DFS is sort of a misnomer).
I only do what I call local contests - small private contests where you need an invitation to enter - 20 - 50 people $10 entry and either winner take all or top 3 get paid. Kind of reminds me of the old school betting slips in anyone remembers those.
For those who play DFS, any stacks/players/sleepers you like this week?
I'm stacking Ravens in one pool. Lamar, Edwards, and Andrews.
Marquez Callaway at $3,400, Michael Pittman at $4,100, Pitts at $4,400, Shenault at $5K, Kupp at $5,500, and Woods at $5,700 on Draftkings seem like some good bargains with some of the volume they look to be in line for. Especially with full PPR. Edwards and Davis at RB at $5,600 and $5,400 look solid as well.
Having a tough time with week 1 QB, Wentz at $5,600, Dak at $6,200, Burrow at $5,700, Matt Ryan at $6K, all seem like pretty solid deals considering price/matchup. Sam Darnold against the Jets at $5K with his weapons is really tempting, though a hail mary to buy up elsewhere.
Fournette or
Kareem Hunt?

for "bargains" I took Pittman, Devonta Smith at 4500 and James Conner at 4500.
I took Jackson @QB, he's $7700 but I think he's the focal point of that offense.
Only Darnold weapon I took was McCaffrey. I do like Marshall, Jr though too for $3000 but he's a rookie and he wasn't a heralded rookie like Smith.

Saquon - ppr?
Fournette or
Kareem Hunt?
I would start Hunt. There is no way I’d start Saquon until we see what his workload looks like early in the season

Would agree here as well. Go with Hunt.
When Chubb was healthy, Hunt was under 50% snaps every game.
You drafted Saquon top 10 for a reason, I start him (i didn't draft him b/c of health concerns, but if I had I'd play him or I wouldn't have drafted him).
L. Shenault @ Texans
J. Jeudy @ Giants
M. Pittman v. Seahawks
J. Waddle @ Patriots
M. Callaway v. Packers
T. Marshall v. Jets
Currently, I am starting Shenault and Jeudy. Feel they are the best ones.
What do you think? Any feedback is appreciated.

I might consider Pittman over one of them but they're all so young kind of a toss up. If Bradberry covers Jeudy it could be a long day for Jeudy and Shenault has a rookie QB.

Non PPR, I may lean towards the last two, since Shenault is all about the short receiving game from the slot. Pittman should be Wentz's #1, and one of Callaway or TreQuan Smith is going to be the #1 target for an aggressive downfield Winston.

Jason Garrett says Saquon has done a great job rehabbing and is "healthy and 100 percent." Put that in the "26 plays" column if you are keeping track of the ebbs and flows of the final days of the Saquon Watch.

Thank you. I hear you. I waited to select my WRs as I stockpiled RBs early in my draft. All are rookies or 2nd year players with high potential and not much track record. It is going to be tricky picking a starting line up each week. Temped to sit Jeudy for either Pittman or Waddle. I think I may leave my lineup as is because week one is a test of team usage anyways. I will have a better idea going forward who looks to be getting more targets after the first game.
Good luck to you.

Thank you. I have had all of this on my mind as well. Hoping after the first week, I will have a clearer idea how to manage these players. I took a gamble on high potential. Would be cool if I hit on all of it.
Best of luck to you

If the draft was only for week 1 Saquon would have gone a lot lower due to uncertainty. The possibility of a few weeks of building up workload is kind of priced into the equation for him. The question is what week to pull the trigger.

keeper or redraft? do you get points for return yards?
I just can't be a believer in Tannehill even if his results support it, I'd prefer the Allen/Waddle side and I think eventually Waddle is the punt returner.
In my league in 2020 Allen outpointed Tannehill by 70 points. I think Tannehill outperformed expectations. Not sure Allen did.
McLaurin is awesome though, a legit budding star in the proverbial 3rd year.
So I wouldn't declare either side a big winner, but prefer the Allen side. - especially if a keeper and Waddle was taken fairly late and/if you get return yard points.

Redraft and no points for return yards but 6 points if they return one for a TD.

In a bubble, the Allen side. The expected positional advantage of Allen over most QBs on a weekly basis is going to overwhelm other factors in the deal in most situations. Obviously, if you have absolute dogshit at WR then you have to consider it. But even then, you could wait this one out and see if Tua and Waddle can recreate their magic together. I really don't like trading before we even see 1 game. You drafted your guys for a reason. First three weeks for me is where I analyze my roster and see where my stocks are at. During this time, there's always guys that were overlooked that emerge that could be useful, if not exceptional, fantasy performers from the waiver wire. If you are so lucky to add one and create a surplus, then you can negotiate with more knowledge about how deals would improve your roster.
Do I roll the dice on Ty'Son Williams and keep my Ravens stack?
He's $4500
