this season IMO. The defense is going to have to play great in order to make this happen. Special teams as well. The offense is going to take some time to gel.
I hope we don't see the defensive lay an egg on the opposing teams opening drive as usual. It need to set the tone for the game and season- Urgency.

Last year they had plenty of long injuries…this weekend, they are very healthy. They look formidable and although some would say at QB, they seem to have no real weaknesses. Great WRs and TE. Great front 7 on defense. OL looks good. RB good.
If we lose, I won’t be jumping off the Empire State Bldg because these guys are legit too. Last year was unusual because of injuries and inconsistent qb play.
Following week in Washington- obviously a coin flip.
We can go 0-2 but we also can go 2-0. I will be happy with 1-1.

Wow, that is unbelievable. I don't think we're the only one though. Terrible
one of only four teams that had only one streak of 4 non-winning seasons. Those are the Ravens, Chiefs, Giants and Steelers. All other teams have had multiple streaks with many being 5 or more non-winning seasons. Eleven teams have had a streak of double digit non-winning seasons. Add in the Giants being the only team to win a Super Bowl in each of the last 4 decades. It has been a wonderful stretch Giant fans. So much negativity of what have you done for me lately. I for one am looking forward to winning our 2020's Super Bowl to keep the streak alive.

I totally agree, and I think people are taking the Broncos lightly. That team has a lot of good players and a good coaching staff. If Bridgewater plays well they are going to be a tough out.

In those 20 years the Giants won 2 Super Bowls. Their HC and their QB are going got be in the NFL HOF. Their DE already is. But to make some case that the Giants are some kind of model NFL winning franchise is BS.

It's as if a team that sucks for a certain number of years, it's always going to suck. Regardless of new coaching staff, major infusion of talent, young players developing, etc., it's going to suck forever! Why? Because it's sucked for years!

I was listening to the Papa and Banks podcast Bleav. Good listen and considering both are on the payroll a pretty objective conversation. But when they started talking about Jones and the point was made by Banks that this is his 3rd season and he sees the same questionable decision making. But Papa says let's consider it his 2nd season because last year it was a new offense.
WTF? Last year Jones showed absolutely nothing. He's was horrid. At least in year one there were some big plays to get excited about and to somewhat balance out the turnovers. But according to Papa that didn't happen because Jason Garrett wasn't the OC? How can anyone take that seriously?
No more grading on a curve, no more moral victories, no more excuses for bad draft picks, bad coaching and bad playing.
Right now the Giants are exactly what the past 3 years of this GMs record says they are. If 2021 is anything like the past 3 years the home games are going get very ugly. A large majority of the fan base has had enough. The owners know it too.
