Again makes a basic play a disaster. Poor defender, poor signal caller, sub par hitter. See ya! I'm not saying Higgy is the answer, but he is so far below average to start for an MLB team. He must go
might be the worst defensive play I've ever seen at the Major League level. If I had attempted to apply a tag like that in Little League, I would have been benched by my coach, and ridiculed by my teammates.
That play summed up this group. A bunch of losing players that will never win the big one. I wanted to believe during the streak but man, this team is a bunch of fucking losers, led by this loser at catcher.
because I can barely watch the hot garbage this team has become in like 10 games (wtf???) and I can honestly say I have never seen that before. There is no excuse for that.
It’s time to get rid of guys who hit 180 to 210 and hit homers only. It’s time to get rid of a catcher who can’t catch or hit. It’s time to get rid of a manager who time and time again shows he can’t… manage. Get some guys who hit the ball consistently and you won’t see streaks like this team gets into. HRs and no hits=inconsistent output.
Why didn’t he step up and tell Boone I need to play? He’s part of the leadership problem on this team. Oh Coach says I need to rest. You think Torre would have sat any of his core players last night? Pussy’s
make me laugh. Just a few weeks ago you were in love with this team. Couldn't get enough of them. Practically blowing your loads over them. Now this. It's amusing.
Girardi has made zero difference in Philadelphia and their fan base dislikes him as much as the Yankee fan base did. He brings nothing to a team.
IMO 90% or more of MLB hanging is having better players than the guy in the other dugout. The other 10% is attitude, expectations and accountability.
I don't want to hear about well you loved this team when they had a winning streak. 1. No I didn't and 2. This current team didn't have a winning streak. The guys who are addition by subtraction weren't playing. Now they are.
can be so exasperating for the fans. He seems to take one step forward defensively, then two steps backward.
It looked to me that he was unsure of the rule on that tag
play at the plate, which is why he backed off before the tag.
This is how it works, you cannot block the plate BEFORE
receiving the throw from wherever it comes from.
He was backing up as he was catching the throw like he was afraid to block the plate, and then wound up tagging him
in the helmet or high. Once you have the ball, you CAN
block the plate, don't think he understands the rule myself.
He also didn't handle a throw from Urshela.
If he acted like a first baseman, come off the plate,
catch the damn ball...
then either tag the runner or the plate, he gets an out there. He is frustrating to watch behind the plate.

You go 34-11 for 8 weeks and then completely shit the bed after that, you deserve to be excoriated. You think it is amusing that people are pissed? Why? Did you see Sanchez avoid making a tag on a runner out by 30 feet? You do not understand why people are angry?
This is bad baseball from a team with the 2nd highest payroll in the sport. Total collapse. Total failure.

Girardi won a World Series here
I do not expect trolling from a poster like you. You are acting like as ass.

My apologies. NYY get me beyond pissed sometimes. Appreciate the bearing adjustment.
